I'm in at 10! I'll be joining Sal and Flavio with a Pz III K command vehicle as I find myself with an extra one from my railroad campaign kit purchase.

Ok, I think that's one of the old Imperial kits. Not bad, and you get Magic Tracks with it! I'll be building and updating one of the old Imperial kits myself

Ok guys I have been waiting to build this kit since I got it so I will be ready to roll @ kick off timePhotobucket
Like I said this will be my 1st full size half of a Dragon kit and it looks like fairly well detailed. I would say that it will be OOB like most of my builds but I dont have the box It also dont have a decal sheet so I will rummage through the spare parts box to see what type of markings I can come up with
looking forward to the start of this 1.
Matt cool ribbon by the way

Man, Sal, that's a cool kit.

I know I tend to overthink and plan my campaigns, but I never expected this one to go so soon, or end in 6 months. I haven't done my umpteenth rendition yet!
It would be cool to model a tractor-trailer shelter truck or even the shelter truck at the Patton museum or an M577, with lots of clutter and detail to view in the back.
I like those panzer befehlswagen i kits by Dragon-- that or a SdKfz 223 might be the way I go. My original thought had been to kitbash a Dodge carry-all out of the AFV Club Dodge kits. WW II sure has been done though.
I have two or three aircraft campaigns coming up-- I'll do those, then come back with a fresh take on armor. I should have a plan (and modeling budget) to come back to this one by then.
Okay, flipping back and forth even now I found Tristar kit #022 PzBefehlswagen that has the tall observation cupola and the handrail antenna that shout COMMAND to me. I'm leaning that way at the moment.
thanks for reading my inner machinations,
-Sean.

Three days later, and no closer to a decision. Matthew, your command idea is a very good one. Everything looks cool-- an M3 Stuart Command tank, SdKfz 223, SdKfz 251, M20 in the ETO, M577 in ODS, even stretching a Trumpeter M1078 into an M1087, so I made a plan...
I should get some spending cash next month for my birthday, outside the household budget. I'll let the local hobby shop shelves and box art decide! That would leave 4 months for the actual build.
Okay, a little sophomoric maybe, but a plan nonetheless!
-Sean.

I'm in with a Panzer I or a 1130 stryker.
Still a few campaigns to finish, before starting this one.

Maybe the Panzer I, but I can't find the magic on those Dragon tracks... so I might see if I have the AFV Club Stryker near by..

the road wheels are held on with white glue for photo and primer purposes and the hull is just dry fit Photobucket
Photobucket this is much more detail kit then the Tamiyas ones. This kit also has the Magic Tracks, that I have never worked with, so can anybody tell me what the secrete is with them

Whoa, didn't realize that we've kicked off already!

Sal: Bruce (MH) builds them in a few sections so that he can take them off of the tank for painting. Most people I've talked to tend to prefer using a slower drying glue formula so that they can form the sections around the driver sprocket and idler as well as between the rollers.
