Returning to the assembly of model ...
I'll explain how I construct a model.
I tend to mount the first model with white glue (PVA), so I can adjust and remove parts without problems. So do not worry if for a moment the model is assembled and disassembled at the other, do it several times. I'm not crazy, I'm normal ...
Based on a material that a friend gave me the models made by Seb, and most other information available on the Internet, I started working ...
I removed the front panel for better viewing. As usual, mount and dismount several times the model ...
With the front panel in place ...
My goal this weekend is to complete the new dashboard, based on information received from a friend ...
Thank you all to follow, adding that suggestions and criticisms are welcome.

Talking about reference pics, I've just came across this one (too bad it's no Hi-Res...) :
"Mad Max" belongs to Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group. Looks like it's fitted with an upgraded cab, with a new gun mount and a custom made windshield.
Interesting info here :

Nice read, written from an officers perspective of a Battle he wasnt a part of. If you want to know the real story, read "Roughneck 9-1" by Frank Anteroni, one of the Sergeants who was actually there. Great read, and has some decription of the "mother Trucks".
the pic on the website is not one that took part in the battle, it is a very recent pic of a current truck.

After nearly eight hours of work, the main instrument panel was completed.
The main instrument panel that came with the kit is totally wrong ...
Based on designs that had made the sketch of the panel in 1:1 scale, then reduce to 1:35 ...
I made some adjustments, I can not say it's 100% right, now that was closer to the real and much better than this kit is ... : D: D: D
I have already put him in his place with the help of white glue ...
Now I will start the center panel.

Thanks, Chris...
I chose not to detail the central panel. The reason is that it's a wire rack on top of it ...
In the kit the only thing that was different was the outflow of air conditioning, so I made only the structure and placed on top of the central panel ...
To conceal an act of laziness, I decided the easiest way, I put a map of Iraq in the wire rack ...

A very interesting subject. Hopefully I'll have my auto-cad certification within the year and I can pick up a CNC for $500 and a extruder for about $250. Be able to try my hand at scratch-building. Course it won't be nearly as good as yours for several years, I'm sure.

Matt,
What I post is off topic, the more I have an ongoing project, done in Solidworks and CNC-cut ...
This is a troop-transport vehicle, which was designed and built here in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil in the seventies.
Picture of vehicle...
Solidworks project...
Parts made in CNC (2 models)...
Starting construction...
Currently the project has stalled ...
More use these tools as an aid for me the pleasure is in doing the hand ...

Nick,
Seats made from scratch, but with a little work, you can improve the seating of the kit.

Hi Sergio,
You are doing good work on this vehicle, I own the AEF sets (all three) although they didn't arrive complete :-( the sets do have some good pieces. I think you are doing the right thing by scratch building most of your truck. You will need to add the rear crew seats, although I have no idea how the fuel/water cans are secured on the rear bed.
Regards
Brian

Hi Brian,
Thank you for appreciating my work, I like to sometimes leave the traditional.
One of my latest work ...
Conversion kits are my first choice, When not find what you want, I resolve to make from scratch. It happened this time, I tried several times to contact the AEF, but never got success in this contact. Hope you have better luck.
I'm putting recent pictures of what I did, Where it is possible to see the seats in the cargo bed.
I intend to use the following sets in the model.
Legend – Humvee Interior Detail Set (radio, GPS, other electronic)
Legend – M1126 Stryker Stowage Set (backpacks, bags, tarps, etc..)
Real Model – Modern US Fuel & Water cans set
Armorscale – Modern Plastic Chemical/Water Barrels (small)
The Pelicases I'm doing as well as other details.
I saw your thread in another forum, very good.
This week I send the drawings I did for some modelers, if you're interested let me know.
Regards.

Hi Sergio,
Nice work on the truck, it is coming together very well. I like the pelicases and I think I might scratch build one for my GMV conversion. The SF guys generally use Pelicases for large calibre sniper rifles.
Yes I would like to see your drawings, I think you can add quite a bit to these trucks, do not forget to add the SATCOMM antenna to the rear.
I'll be watching your build with interest, and thank you for the comment about my projected build.
Regards
Brian

Serge:
Incredible work on this!
Your skill is so apparent, and your generosity in sharing your drawings.
Could you send me them as well? I just picked up the kit, but your great thread has me inspired. I'll message via email as well.
Thanks again, Mike
