Gentlemen, I want to share with you this build project I started two weeks ago, the new truck from ICM , the Ford V3000 ...
I am building this girl in parallel with Churchill CDL ...

The first thing that struck me were the drawings like "civilians" of the grooves of the tires ...

The injection is good and almost no crashes and flashes:

But, lets ignite the build..Follow the booklet (a bit vague in their information ...), I start by engine:

The construction of the chassis is a little confusing, because the drawings of booklet are not detailed:

Some parts just do not fit ... It seems that the ICM has released this kit a little "too fast" ...

The chassi complete:

Instead, the cabin fittings are superb ... point for the ICM!

Side by side, the ICM injected Ford V3000 and old PRM resin kit...

The exhaust pipe has incredible 7 different parts:

I decided to forget the original cargo bed and build this truck with a shelter . I had an old resin shelter kit...time to empty the closets ...
heheheheheheh

Dry-run:

Details:

I thought of an ambulance ...Medic !!! Medikus!!!!
Therefore, I need a ladder ...scratch time...

Primming:

Dark-yellow (post 1942...)

Cammo and ambulance colors;

Decals:

and..

Well, now, it´s weathering time...waiting for...

Very nice work on a challenging model. I agree that ICM should have spent some more time getting it right, but you're doing great fixing the issues.

Thanks, Gents...

One thing I forgot to mention was that the front suspension is a bit "sunk". To improve the appearance, I applied two pads of 2mm at each base of front springs ..

Much better !!!

To be fair, put a black mark on General Motors record too.

Thanks...I have been debating to get this kit or not since my experience with ICM BergerPanther was not the best.
It's good I see this which will help me decide...
Nice built BTW...when I saw the shelter I was thinking if you are going to turn it in a field repair unit

What the wikipedia article doesn't mention is why the Cologne Ford factory got off so lightly: bomber crews were under strict instructions not to hit the factory - bad for business, I suppose - let's not forget that the main objective of business is to make a profit - never mind the ethics, and the only time you'll see a company adopt an ethical veneer is if it sees it as a way of improving its profitability.
However, the local population quickly realised that the Ford factory was a relatively safe place and used it as an air-raid shelter.

Splendid Marcos, as an EMT I love those subjects

but I'm gonna wait , because they're still priced 30 euro's for a kit, too much I think.

thumbs up for this ambulance build!

Also interesting is American and German Ford executives met in S. America while the war was still on, but it was evident Germany would lose. Divvying up the pie, I guess!

With this truck, you can make many variants ... Including British and Australians, with minor modifications...

Keep watching ... the end is near ...

Hi, Mauro !!!

My friends say I have an army of slaves that build parts boring to me ..

Honestly, I do not count the kits I was built in ever month ...

I only see the amount of boxes I have in my closet ...and the life is short !!!!

Regards and all the best !!!

P.S.: Just for you to see how I'm crazy, look what I'm doing while I wait the weathering dry in CDL Churchill and Ford V3000 :

One Ford G917T as Maultier, using a resin Ford cabin + Old Testors Maultier kit..

Well unfortunately I'm a lot slower than you...And if life is too short , after my death I want to be buried with my stash with a bottle of tamiya glue in my hand. Finally i'll have the time to complete all my models

Another stunning project Marcos. I'm very glad to follow your builds

Cheers
