Guido: Good thought, can't wait to see what you have planned man!
Vladimir: Your new rules allow a lot more flexibility, good choices! May I suggest not starting until this summer at the earliest and running this campaign for one full year?

I hope the renewed rules will encourage more people to join! I was thinking around June 6th (this summer) until the next year. Is this timing good ?

Hello Vladimir, I try to find some nice figures for my dio.
This should be an soldiers at rest-scene, but my first plan was, to use no figures.
Thanks for the help with the places (countries) of the gun-sites.
I also found Belgium, Holland and France additionally.
Since some months I made no updates on my build. So there is a slow progress.
The actual status looks like this:

greetings...

Soerne the campaign has yet to start. If it does work out, the start date will be around June. So until then the work on your project must stop.
The diorama looks like it’s going to look really good, what figures are you thinking of using? Looking forward to your build!

Hello Vladimir, what do you mean, So until then the work on your project must stop.
Should I stop working on my diorama and start again in june?
No problem.
At that time I make a search for good figures. Possibly I will use some "civilian" military MiniArt and/or Masterbox kits. ("soldiers at rest"... or so)
Also thanks for the compliments of my dio.
This one is my first "more complicated" diorama, which is made of different materials.
My previous 2 ones are made of simple landscape only - and have no plants.
They would not exist under this very special conditions. (or simply burn up)
But for this one (10cm K18) I have to make tests, how to fill the styrofoam, and to get good results.
After adding one or more layers of styrofoam-parts, I have to add some wooden walls, made of single wooden-boards.
Also I have no good idea about an easy or simple weathering without buying special paints.
For this I made a few tests with Revell-colors.

Yes, you should stop all work on the diorama!! I hope that we will have enough enlisted to start this campaign!! I am not really that good with dioramas myself so do let me know how your tests work out (for the wood weathering)
I like your snow diorama, simple but realistic!

If I am allowed to use my idea we chatted about Vlad, I will happily add my name to the campaign.
Looking forward to June.

Welcome aboard Nige!!!
So that makes ten of us with me included!! Is that enough to start the campaign, or does it have to be ten people without me?

Yeah, sounds good. Count me in. Normandy's a bit of a fascination for me plus it'll make a change to do some Jerries as I predominantly build British...lol

Bump!
Still lots of space to enlist!
I'll be visiting the island of Norderney this week. The German Atlantic Wall Archive (DAWA) has issued a guide to the islands installations in WWII.
My plan is to make a bike tour to see what is left of these. Let's see what I can find; I'll report back to you.
The DAWA does an admirable job to document and preserve the Atlantil Wall heritage. They do have a great and inspiring internet page.
Please visit DAWA !
A number of publications are available, which are in German only, same as their internet page. However, the A5 books are very nice and do offer a lot of great information such as maps:

So I will report back some time next week.
Cheers,
Guido

Guido, that sounds like a great trip!!! I hope you will be taking a lot of pictures, and I hope it will be fun for you!!
I actually have a DAWA book on beach obstacles, but I can barely understand anything except the measurements! But I love the book, so many good diagrams!
