I don't know why I didn't catch this and now it is too late for your kit; but I grind up wet foam or florist's foam and mix it with white paint. This achieves a moderate representation of snow and it doesn't yellow, ever.
HI matt
thanks for ur suggestion
one question is foam may be not as shiny transparent as soda. and snow on the other hand, is kind of tiny transparent crys, which will reflect lights from different angles. soda is just fine for this effect. BTW, that "yellow problem" never happens to me so far.
well that time i'll try some professional snow making product, woodland or GW, and see if it can achieve a better result.
thanks again buddy

They are either very elusive or impossible to find here in the States

That's what I suspected Jeremy
They are very flammable paints so maybe they are hard to be exported

hi there, i was just dealing with my exams, really tough days.
little progress though, i got some new pics to post.
(poor quality pics)
i finished the supply depot and added two blankets for the tank
the blanket is made of modeling clay
roadsign is just not that good, i think i could make it better
the blanket on the ammo box is also made of clay
i wanna creat a muddy and wet effect, maybe i'll paint some gloss varnish afterwards
that it. i've just changed my mind that i decided to add three more figures to this scene, and that will be a time consuming job. i don't know when i can finish it.
anyway, hope u enjoy it

HI all
after 2months' effort, the model is finally completed
first of all i have to mention that My ID in China is Torch, so the picturewater show only Torch, not my real name .
The theme of this scene is ' THE LAST SUPPLY'
that's it. thanks for all your supports and i hope you'll like it
