Well it took me a while but I have the basics for an annual subscription service setup for users looking to both support the site (and we need it) and also get some benefits in return. Primarily this membership will give you additional image storage space within the PhotoPost gallery area. There are additional benefits and I hope to add more as vendors sign on with percentage discounts or other incentives for those participating.

I still have to build the A-Guard Support Team Roster (a page which will diplay all the users actively supporting the site in this way) as well as the code that will indicate they are a A-Guard member in posts, etc.

For more information on this please go here. If anyone has questions about this please let me know.

Cheers,
Jim

Tim,
Well you can always go hog-wild (no inference to the DSB) and go with the Gold Team support level ($75). You get a T-Shirt as well!

And for your generousity we will even "permit" you to display some of your car models. hehe

Thanks!

I would but I neglected to mention the 1:350 New Jersey I bought the other day and the Mini Cooper I bought along with the paint today and my IPMS membership so my hobby funds are nearing empty until .

Well I am in the planning stages for a heavily armed Porsche. hehehehe That certainly ought to fit in around here. Hey, it's german armor!!

I don't know if it works outside of the States, but I think you can sign up with a checking account and send an 'electronic check'. I've done it before with eBay auctions, but I already had an account with Paypal so I don't know what the requirements are for signing up initially.

Fellow members:

As an FYI, I emailed Jim about accepting checks for the subscription.

Checks are accepted and can be sent to the mailing address shown on "Contact Us' on the upper right hand portion of the screen.

I don't think a credit card is a must to signup with PayPal. Their preffered method of payment (for them) is by bank wire transfer. Something I think more Europeans are comfortable with than Americans. We get nervous for some reason when somebody asks for bank routing info.

Check the PayPal site for details. I can also accept payment via a bank check or money order made out in USD. The sites mailing address is listed under the "contact us" link above. Make sure to include your callsign in any mailing request.

Thanks!

Jim

Thanks so very much guys. The reception so far to this program is very encouraging. Certainly I may get to stop worrying about monthly server bills so much. Lol.

Cheers,

Hello Jim,

I got one of them inactivated Paypal account that I don't remember I had signed up for, so I cannot get another one using the same credit card. Is there anyway, I can just pay via credit card?

Thanks.

Dave -

I had the same problem awhile back....

Go to the paypal site and notify them that you forgot your login/password. They send you a form in your email - for you to answer personal questions that you gave them answers to when you signed up initially. Then they email you your info to login... keeps you from getting another account. Very painless...

They are my only credit card processor at the moment. Well there is the Amazon account at Armorama if they still have that Honor System.

Hey Jim,

I sent 2 payment from Amazon, one 50, and another 25. Because the maximum amount they allow you to send at one time is 50. Hope it come through.

Think that it is a low price to pay to keep such a wonderful site running. All signed up and good to go.

If anyone wants to help me out my GM Platinum card number is HAAA, I may be ugly but I ain't stupid.

I'll get my wife on the problem.
