I got a couple of ideas for next year's Campaigns:

- Machine Gun Kelly Campaign
Any era, tracked or wheeled, but MUST have a Machine gun.
Can have missiles or cannon but MUST have a Machine gun.
You can build a Huey with a M16 or a SAS Willys or a Panzer I...

- Balkan Campaign
Any vehicle tracked or wheeled, that participated in conflict in any Balkan countries .
Aircraft, Helis and ships are allowed too.
From WW I to the later years.

Campaign duration:
Jan 2012 - Jan 2013.

@edited.. Jeremy is right !!

If you are considering a Balkans campaign, then I would suggest opening it to aircraft and ships as well.

I like the Balkan Campaign idea (especially long into 2012, as I'm admittedly rushing here in 2011), but isn't the machine gun idea WAAAAYYYYY too broad? I understand that such an open campaign will catch everything, and it'd probably have all of us entering something.
Anyway, count me as a yes for the Balkans. I like researching a little before I begin. I'm actually now looking at Soviet stuff for the first time, on a related note.
Thanks!
-Sean.

I agree with Sean. I like the Balkans idea and would probably jump on that. The MG Kelly idea just seems a bit... broad, like a couple have said.

Another idea would be something along the lines of "Armor Between the Wars", that is any AFV (tank, armored car, etc) that was either produced or in the design stages between Nov 1918 and the entry of that country into World War II. IE, the US didn't enter until December 8, 1941, but the M3/M5 and other vehicles were already being produced as a result of events in Europe. Germany was already illegally producing the PzI and PzII in 1934, prior to the Spanish Civil War, and the Pz III A rolled out in May 1937, so there are plenty of mainline plastic kit options.

Of course there are also tons of others that don't have a nice neat kit to make them, but could be scratchbuilt or bashed in one form or the other. Run it for nine months to a year, could be fun.

Sorry to jack the thread. Slow morning at work.

I like that "Between the Wars" idea too! An early armored car would look nice on my shelf!
Thanks, John and Matt!

Ok I agree... it's way to broad... it's like build anything with a steering wheel or a tow cable...scrap that.
Let's keep tha Balkan Wars Campaign then.
I still need 10 guys to propose the Campaign to take it to Mount Olympus ..

Lol, glad I'm good at something And it's not the sleep that's the issue, it's work and family stuff that end up sucking away all of my time.

John: There are a lot of options for a Balkans campaign. I would like to build a Hellenic aircraft, or armor that was involved in Kosovo or Serbia. I may choose to go old school though.

I think that a "between the wars" campaign is a cool idea as well. Would be a great follow up to my "Great War" campaign

I agree Jeremy, that would be a great follow up.
I hope Matt will propose that Campaign, I won't hijack his idea...

And for your pick there are many choices, F-16's, Mirage 2000, F-4's and with the armour, well IFOR & Nato tanks and Armoured cars, ambulances, logistic trucks, T-72,T-62,T-54-55,even T-34's, Artillery ... WWII vs Partisans ..

I saw that he posted a proposal already

And I'm leaning towards a Hellenic F-16 or a T-54/55, although the Mirage 2000 would be cool too. I'll need to do some research on the T-54/55 so that I know how to build it up correctly and what markings to use.
Like I said, this campaign is open to a lot of good stuff
