Nicely done. The weathering is "used but not abused", and really helps to define the details, especially on the tracks.
I'm terrible at figures, so I just avoid them. Yours came out great.

Which of Dragon's Abrams is this? How was the build? The finished product almost looks real enough to climb in and fire a few rounds off.

Is this the Dragon AIM kit? I have the SEP kit in the stash, wondered how it would build!

I got the dvd about M1A1's from perfect scale models from Germany. It is great and has great reference material. I pm'd the guy from echoln decals to see what he thought about making decals for US Army units from the states, Germany, and Korea. But I asked him not just M1, but everything. M2A2, M109, 113, M981's everything. Just want to know what you all think. Also where did you get these decals.

Just a few minutes ago i finally finished the anti slip coat on my Tamiya A2. Nice to see what my Abrams could look like.
Why do the camouflage stripes on the side skirts have white outlines? I've not seen that on a real M1 so far. And does the real vehicle also have the letterings on the commander's hatch? It's a gag i guess but i like it.

I have seen this in real life, the tan lines aren't paint, but dust that for some reason likes to build up along the points where different colors of CARC paint meet. It shows up on many vehicles done in NATO woodland camo.

Oh really? I've not seen that yet. It has something to do with the thickness of the colour layer and/or the surface structure i guess. Maybe that's a reason why dust collects on the outlines?

Hi guys sorry ive been away for a few days.
The kit is built OOTB and the "gott mit uns" decal is supplied in the kit.
I got the idea from the book "Abrams in detail" by Ralph Zwilling and it shows the sand coloured lines very well,so i tried to replicate it.
IHTH.

What I love about this model is the weathering effect on the paint. I distinctly remember our M1A1’s with that strange striping effect between the colors when I was in the 3rd. ACR at Ft. Bliss TX many years ago. Great Job

What did you use for the background to take the picture with?
Thanks
