Artyom I’ve only just discovered this – superb work! I assume you have Scale model shows over there, you should enter this masterpiece & it should easily win First Prize whether you paint it or not. Maybe just paint one side of it....? maybe not

Hello! Yes, I am getting closer. But this will be very difficult painting project. That's why I have decided to biult and paint Mark.IV from Takom for training.
Maybe you should build another Cromwell, but out of the box, and use that to practice on. You could display it next to this one so everyone could see all of the improvements you made. It would be easier than listing all of your improvements, which would take pages LOL!

Perhaps I will find A30 Challenger from SKP. It is alike Cromwell and it could be biult OOTB, because there are no aftermarket to it.Neonik

Most of them are in Moscow, I live in St.Petersburg. I will try to take part itf it will be.It is very difficult to win First prize because there are a lot of great and experienced modellers in Russia.

Hello! Very little progress with Cromwell.Lack of time.Turret basket has been done. I only need to do the welds where rods have to be fixed.
I have looked at the Viller Bocage pictures and have seen plates with divisional or platoon markings. I have made them.
And I started to work with lamp spotlight. It is in progress. Now it consist of 19 parts including cables and holder. And one curious observation. When the tank wasn't on march the spotlight was turned to the turret not on the road.

I have finished turret at last! Basket is ready. All hatches are workable. Muzzle brake was reworked with Tamiya compound so as "pillows" on hatches. After a little brake I will work with stowage. Then final fotosession on a good camera.

I have followed your Cromwell project with great interest, so I am very much looking forward to your next project.
One question for you, surely you are aware of the different, wider, track used by the Challenger. Have you found a solution for this as I read elsewhere on Armorama that the SKP aftermarket tracks are not that good.
The wider tracks also call for a different sprocket, by the way.

Hello,Theo! I think Challenger is very interesting tank, so I try to do my best with it. Indeed SKP model kit is very bad. Owful plastic, low accuracy of the details. I had combined SKP hull with Tamiya's Cromwell parts.
I know about the track and have 3 variants.
1.Try to use kit's clickable track. They are very bad unfortunatelly.
Here are they on their site.

Theo,thank you! I have already thought about the barrel. I will try to get Aber. But I think it will be rather expensive. Hopefully I have another Cromwell from Tamiya,so some part whica are suitable for Challenger,I will replace.
