In this weekend, I'll work on this girl ... wait, Gents ...

Marcos,
It is very refreshing to me to see such a unique subject being scratchbuilt. I love Tigers,Shermans and T-34s as much as the next guy but they get a little tiresome once in a while!
Great job brother.

Thanks, Jerry !!!!

All the best to you !!!

After Warren and colleagues warn, actually gave notice that the box truck was oversized....

The way is to redo the thing ...
Removing the box from the truck´s chassi:

...and breaking up the box to remake with the correct dimensions.

Much better:

Since I am getting better at it, redid the support of the box, according to the original. The previous was wrong ....

And...

I did the air reservoir to the trailer´s brakes.

Today is Saturday.

Day of modeling !!!!!

Please, follow the all images and stages in my Blog:

Hi Marcus,

Hope that solved the problem, excellent work, the semi trailer looks great so far.

It's a most enjoyable build to watch, the campaign for more British Truck continues .

Your web site is great, so I bookmarked that. I still have the makings for another Bedford but undecided what to make them into yet.

Keep up the great work.

Hi Marcos

That revised box looks great. How has the clearance ended up? Are you managing to get full 180 degree cab angle? Did you adjust the trailer width as well? The truck and trailer boxes will be the same width throughout.

Looking forward to seeing your revised layout from all angles.

Fantastic build.

Nige, I hear and obey, Sahib !!!!

The semi-trailer, after resizing:

The semi-trailer can rotate 90° without touching the box of truck:

A bird-view:

Pneumatic connections between truck and trailer:

And this make the strongest cry: 70 little hooks for the tarp:

...and tarp structure:

Talking about tarp: vegetable-paper plus white glue and water...

Primming the girl:

...and the first colors:

ufff...This weekend was very productive ...

Hi Marcus,

Yip, gotta agree looks the DBs Excellent work, great detail and another classic Bedford for your collection. Look forwar to the final finish, everything is looking grand so far and your 'fix' to the load bed worked a treat, plenty of clearance now.

Yet still we wait for some vehicles in 1/35 plastic and only silence from IBG!

Cheers

Hi, Nige...thanks, again...

I have 03 Bedfords in my collection, with this semi-trailer girl:

A Command Bedford QLR, build in scratch:

...and a Bedford Halftrack prototype:

Oddly enough, I do not have the Bedford Portee (yet. ..)

But it's just a matter of time ....

Indeed, Alan...

It is a pity that the matter " Bedford injected in1/35" seems not evolved ...

Hey, Big Companies !!!!

Why do not you release English lorries??

AEC´s, Bedfords, Fordsons...

Wake up ....

market (and buyers...) exists!!

Hi Marcus,

Yes, 46 was 615th Field Squadron Royal Engineers, however my thoughts would be that these would have been manned by the Royal Army Service Corps, so Guards Armoured Div sign OK, white 82 on a red/green triangle for 535th Dviisional Transport Company, RASC might be better, or white 80 for HQ Divisional RASC.

Sorry I don't know the distribution of the lorry to give better advice. If you know these were issued to the Royal Engineers then no problem.

Cheers

Alan, thanks a lot for the answer, butIi used the marks of my draw...

See the answer of Dick Taylor here:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/110741/thread/1318110322/Bedford+QLC+4x4-2+-+These+markings+were+correct--

He drew his gun faster than you ...

Now, a doubt: 14th or 615th Squadron RE ?????

My final drawing looked like this:

Soon, the kit finished !!!!

Hi Marcos,
Just ran across this thread. That Bedford you built is a fantastic looking truck!! You should be proud!!

One question: what did you use for the tie down rope for the tarp?
