Wow. Some cool looking work benches here. Great thread. This is where I get away. A nice rainy day, some good talk radio and being behind the bench.
Have to stop buying models for awhile and get these built already. Wingman out.

WOW I am overwhelmed by the work spaces you guys have. My lovey understanding and one in a million wife has let me use the dining room table, She put an oilcloth tablecloth. I bought a carpet remanat and then a thin fiberboard to work on then I got a thin piece of plywood to hold the work light, Here are some pics of my work area. I love it because the 60in Sony tv is in sight as is the fridge the window is in front of me.
I noticed some of yyou showed your model room too. Here are some picures of my war rooms. Models, shells and memoribila. Note several of my cannons actually fire .The brass cohorn mortar and the big Napoleon 12 pounder fire. The shell is a 155mm he projo, the gold is a 105mm complete round and the brass is a 90mmm AA canister.

Good looking space Wingman.
Thanks Kevin. Have to thank my wife for this little space to get away, she is very cool about it. I REALLY like Canjuaan's space with that wonderful window right at his desk, imagine that during a nice rain. Again great thread. Wingman out.

Here is my work area
its a 11x11x11 room in my basement...only downside is that can get cold down there from January to March or so. I'm going to finish it off in the next few years.

Hi people!
Guys, must of you have SPACE. And it is fantastic!
Here in Brasil we have no basements.
Cheers!

When I built the (still unfinished), room in the dungeon for my drums, I added 2x4 walls against the foundation, insulated with R-13 for the same reason. A small space heater, and it'll be warm as toast. (I considered a duct from my furnace, but decided that was overkill.)

Looks like a really nice space, I envy you for how big it is. If you don't mind me asking, what brand is that photo hood and how much did it cost? I've been thinking about buying one for myself.

Add a new organizer to my workbench from Hobby Zone in Poland. It has to be put together when it arrives, but it is great addition to my work space.
http://www.hobbyzone.pl/en/
And they ship quick, only a week and half from Poland to Canada.

After years of having to work on the kitchen table, I have a place to work from:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
The desk I got friend who was cleaning out his storage buildings, and after that, things began to snowball. The most recent addition to my arsenal is the HP printer - I honestly have no idea how I lived without one before, with the scratch building I endeavor to do.
I bought a rolling drawer set at the local Walmart that slides under the desk for tool, scratch supply and paint storage - and as there are three children who like to watch me "work" living with us I have to pull it out and put it in the recess backwards so little hands don't find their way into it while I'm at my other "work"
I keep a project check list on the wall to the left that I mark off as I complete objectives, as part of my agreement with my wife is "actually work on and finish projects rather than pile up into the stash."
On the top of my monitor is a toy tank my wife got for ten cents at a yard sale - I use it to test paint and weathering technique combinations.
I honestly am very much indebted to my wife for letting me have my own little square of the universe, and if we move she has promised that a garage is on the list of "must-haves"

Hello all
Here are some images from my space(craft).
It seems pretty mess but I-know-where-everything-it-is.
Actually my workbench room is more tidy, but a lot of work has arrived and (as you may don't know) what I am doing is a one man show.
At the momment no help at all.
One more thing...
Maybe I have not the best and natty workspace, but I have the greatest panoramic view of all!!!
It is a rainy day and the images could not be so marvelous I wanted to be, but I 'll be back soon (at the appropriate topic) to see what I mean!

Good to know I'm not the only modeler with a tiny space to work in. And some of the areas are really nice.

I have updated just a tad, and my desk grew a little, but shhhh....don't tell my wife....

You guys have some nice work spaces.
But they are really too clean and organized.
How could one ever work like that?

I love checking out other peoples work benches, theres sone amazing set ups out there and some are as inspirational as the models on here. Messy, tidy or just the generic admin explosion type they're great.
Mine is a wirk in progress now that ive finally got my own space in the garage. Found some excellent racks for paints etc and have more on the way but im thinking now i may have over ordered? But again is there such a thing as over ordering? 😉
Anyway heres my little space of heaven...
