I believe this was a very good time to start for a German Railway Dio, in scope of new emerging products on recent years...
Although I was working hard on rail wagons since two years
When talking about a railway station project, Its was obvious that I need space, budget, knowledge ext. But after all the studies and plans I discovered that countless subjects and different model kits could be applied in to this project.
To keep you updated, I would be making the diorama base, buildings, soft kits and ext. on random periods.
Hope we all enjoy it
The size has been a problem starting from planing process. To fit all elements in to the dio, I used 70x160cm base on this project.
For transport convenience, used two piece of base and modeled all items in two piece which places on the middle
Here is my plan...
Used MDF plates, reinforced with wooden frames

Wow! Awesome work and has given me ideas on how to build my dios.
I also like the size and layout of your "man cave".
Keep up the good work.

You have more models for this diorama than most people have in their whole stash, Cem!! Will be watching with interest.

Wow Cem, that's all very impresive.......the amount of kits & scratch work you've got to do is incredible......
Do you plan to put this on display afterwards anywhere, I'm sure it'll deserve public viewing with the size & detail involved!!
Well done!

WOW
Even just the scale of the project and the number of kit items your going to add to the project !!!!!!!!!!!! Where are you going to steal the time to build all those kits ???? Have you invented a machine to slow time down relative to your construction ?????? You build furiously and time relatively stands still, while everybody else's time flies by and we all get nothing done !!!!!!!!!!

Hi Cem. Great start. I have plans to build a railway station as well. Got some items built/painted already, but put off the main base work until I had other things in place, like the area to display it. That area is now ready, so your thread is really inspiring me to start it up again. Will be following this.

Hi Cem,
First&Foremost this work is most impressive! I like the way you mix it up with commercial and custom parts.I'am currently building a Berlin dio and have gained some great insight from your epic.I'am glued to this one fella and can't wait to see more!
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Nige,
I think finding time is our common trouble.
One of my aims to start such a dio was to build different kits for one project..
My work and social life takes most of my time but Im managing to to proceed on this some how

Signal Tower
There are few buildings I'm willing to use on this project. Signal Tower is the major one.
Here is some varieties of signal towers, some still in use
I scaled it from a 1/82 (HO) Signal Tower model.
For details and internal layouts will use photographs as reference.
Used medium grit sand paper to illustrate wall texture and brick corner from gypsum
Steel construction support for the tower I find this "HO" product. it contains "I" profile plastic beams in different dimensions and most was surprisingly applicable for 1/35 scale
*The coin is same size as 2 EUR coin

This is shaping up to be an excellent diorama.
Would you mind sharing with us what you used to make the rubber molds? Did you buy a mold making kit or is this some sort of a home made solution?
