thanks for the encouragement guys,it keeps me going..
nice photo there Phill, as soon as I saw it I ran for one of my reference books to see what it was because I remembered seeing it. For those still wondering what it is and want to look it up.. its..
"The BMS-1 Alacrán (Spanish: Scorpion) was the last halftrack AFV ever developed. It was developed in the early 1980s as a private venture by Cardoen Industries, based upon experience gained in it's modernization of Chile's M3A1 halftracks in the mid-1970s. The objective was to develop a modern Halftrack Universal Carrier for sale throughout the developing world, as a possible follow-on to World War 2-era designs in service."

Phil and Delbert, that's a really cool vehicle there. Thanks for showing! Now, anyone up to building one?
Delbert, your PE looks just fine to me! Keep it up!
Matt, welcome to the show. Good on you to chose this caompaign for your re-entry to the hobby! Hope your RL issues haven't been to serious and all is well by now!

Matt, welcome to the Campaign. I also know about way too much going on in ones personal and professional life to be able to spend time modeling. I was away from the hobby for nearly 30 years.

Finally got the base OD paint on my M2. It's a mixture of Tamiya OD and Yellow Sand mixed 50/50 with X-20A. I know that the color of the tires looks a little too grey, but in up close they're a shade or two darker. They'll also be darkened during the weathering process.

Small update for tonight, sort of. Step 1 of the M16 is done. And by done I mean all twelve subassemblies are done. Some pictures (still trying to get used to the DSLR so my apologies in advance):
Some gaps filled, and A4 on the front suspension is marked wrong on the instructions...no surprise there I guess. Otherwise it's a pretty straight forward build.
Everybody else's tracks are looking stellar!

Phil, your build in Brass is truly amazing. I do have one question. How do you go about smoothing all those wielded seams to get ready for priming and painting?

Joel ,, thank you dude as for the painting ..its already smooth so no cleaning will be needed ..it might look like it needs a good sand but the solder is so thin you can barely even feel it and when i am finished you won't even see it

Joel, nice progress! Looks like you've missed a few spots with the OD though... Nothing a brush can't solve...
Matt, that's about as far as I've gotten...
Erhan, good to see some Braille. Nice quick progress so far. It looks like the tracks are painted metal, the US halftracks however had rubber band tracks, so should be black. Just in case...
Phil, I'm speechless... Looking forward to some paint (although that will make all the nice shiny stuff invisible... )
Cheers!

Amazing build Phil. My respect to anybody who 1)can do this and 2) who has the patience to replace so much. Can´t wit to see it painted up.

Phill,
Thank you. I quit. That is all.
Fabulous work on the PE. Almost looks like an assembly line built halftrack.
EDIT: Note to Stefan... Do NOT place my photo next to Phill's in the gallery please. Thank you.

Phil,
Looks Great!
Got a bit done on mine, finally got around to doing the PE on the bogies and started replacing the springs on the suspension.
Cheers Rob.

Thanks a heap guys for all the great comments .,its been a wicked build but i am pretty sure the only reason i managed to do it is because i am totally mental ,you have got to be few cards short of a full deck to even want to do this .. strange thing is i would do it again cause now i have learned a heap of new tricks and oh boy nothing is a challenge anymore when it comes to PE .
Bring on the next one

Stephan,
thanks for the kind words. I rubbed off a lot of paint installing the wheels, etc. A little hand painting before the weathering starts, and those issues should be taken care of.
Looks like next week won't be a modeling week, as I have to fly to broiling hot and humid Florida for family business.
