Beautiful work Jerry.
The pose reminds me of a poster I had before I joined up. It was a pastel drawing of two US Marines in Vietnam in a very similar pose as yours. At the bottom was written in stylised blood 'Why?'. The Artist must have drawn some inspiration from Michael Angelo as the mortally wounded soldier had his hand out the same way Adam has his reaching out to God. I was working in an art supply shop at the time so it struck a cord with me. I was also waiting to join up and having this poster at work reminded me that being a soldier is a serious business. Your work brought back these memories. I wish I could find another copy of that poster.
Cheers, John

Well,
Thanks for your kind words and for your service. I was in the Infantry for 17 years and so this kind of thing always gets me going. Combat arms soldiers are pretty similar no matter what the country. We all bleed red, even the WaffenSS. I was going to put these 2 in a larger dio but I am running out of steam I think, Thanks for looking in and for the kind words brother. Keep your eyes open and your head down, stay between the ditches(unless there is incoming) and your weapon clean,

Impressive job on this vignette Jerry!! Congratulations m8!
I just wonder if the work is really complete..!?? F.ex. the camo net on the helmet could perhaps do with some highlighting...what do you think??
Just my impression!

Wow,thanks guys, for looking in again. I thought this was old news and everyone would be sick of it. Thanks!
Romain, the web on the helmet was supposed to be metal chicken wire. I guess I should hi-light it because if you can't tell what it is supposed to be then I failed in my mission!
