Hi guys! I'vee uploaded some new photos. I finished wash and I'm during the proces of adding chips - it's not ready yet.

I'm afraid that I might made a photo too sharp, but I took it in hard light conditions.

Wow!

So many models and so little time... How did I miss this build!?

I really love so many elements of this that I'm finding ti hard to know where to start!

The variations in the elevation on the base are great, as is the annimation on the figures. Finally, I really like where you're going with the finish on the StuG III.

Really excellent all around, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks for sharing, Wapel!

It's a gorgeous Stug. Can't wait to see the final product!

It's a shame the first colour was off. The pre-shading effect was gorgeous. Don't give up on that technique.

That paint job is spectacular! The weathering is exceptional, as well! You have convinced me to invest in Vallejo.

yeah, I also regret it. It's still hard for me to mix colors to get a desired color. When you getting used to a model, you think evereything is ok. After two days of no-moddeling and a words of some other guys, I decided that I have to repaint it.

I think it's really worth to do so. Earlier I've used humbrol enamels. Vallejo doesn't stink (enamels especially do when painting with airbrush - my wife asked me to change paints) at all. Also many of my enamels dried in cans, so I couldn't use them no longer, what was really annoying - I had to buy a new can. Vallejo are able to use for many, many months (years?)

Hi!
I've managed to paint tools, finish chips and scraches. Now I will use pigments to add some dust, mud and color fading. As you can see I have some problem to present colors as they really are. I think problem is in different light conditions, I can't repeat my camera settings in each photo sessions (I think it is understandable what I mean - language problems...) So enough talking, see photos and tell what you think.
General view:

and some details:

hope you like it.

I have not seen AFVs with black muzzle brakes in photos. Do you have a reference for that? Thanks.

Bill, to be honest I have never thought about that. I am building just for pleasure, according to instruction, but you make me wonder. But here you are:

source: Panzer Tracts 08
and I've got another book with camo patterns where you can see this kind of muzze brake on one of the stugs.
Cheers!

Wapel, I am particularly intrigued on how you got the fine chipping with the "spidery" scratches. Is this painted on or a version of the hairspray/salt technique?

Hi Bill! You mean those scraches on the commander coupola? These were made with a sponge used to wash the dishes.
All rest of chips were painted with fine brush. Paint was heavily dilluted, and I painted it almost with a tip of brush (litterally with a three hairs). On a light chip later I painted a darker one.
