Dear Rodrigo,
As a horse man:
What a nice and detailed reshape of this carriage and its horse team. Looking forward to see the whole dio.
One thing, please, allow, the chains from the breasts of the horses to the beam should be shorter. It is used for slowing down or stopping the wagon. Now, your length would allow the wagon to hit the horses from behind! Just a detail! No hard feelings.

Paul,no problem, I will make this correction.
Actually I had already done this, but I thought it had been very stretched. It actually realized with the size that is, the carriage hits the back of the horse.

I will make this adjustment, thanks for the warning.

Mauro, now I'll have to find enough to make my snow, but I believe it should be cool.

Thanks again

Hello everybody.

I was a little time away from here, although it followed the jobs posted here. I had some setbacks in my work that I departed from the hobby for a short period.

Well, anyway I'm back and with some progress in my diorama.

I still need to finish in the snow. Make a mess here and there. and then apply gloss varnish to make sworn in a little water.

You are also missing another soldier put on the phone.

Here are some photos

Well, in the place marked is where I'll put the soldier with the phone.

After that I will from inside the building that is in court.

And why's it guys ...

Rodrigo!
What a beauty!
You did a grest job indeed!

Your idea of 'carving' the bottles is super!
I think I'll 'steal' it from you!
Ciao

Hi Rodrigo,

Excellent work, the building, tree and ground work all look spot on, terrific attention to detail. The figure placement and finish also looks excellent.

Really outstanding and thought provoking work.

Cheers

thomokiwi, Edoardo, Mauro, Alan, Paul, Karl and Gelson ....

Thank you for the comments. is very gratifying to hear that.

Edoardo, it's pretty cool. I think the ideal is to perfect a bottle and then I do to shape silicone rubber. Thus always have identical bottles.

Alan, one detail remains to be done inside the building that is in court. I might even put the soldier who is talking on the radio inside.
Still want to make everything inside is a mess, all churned. Let's see how it goes .....

Paul, actually it was very cold on this date (Jan-27-1945). Heavy snow had fallen for days, but not this day it snowed.

Regarding the upcoming diorama, I have some things on the bench in progress, but it is likely that I finish a vignette of a Puma on a wooden bridge.

Gelson, how are you buddy? Thank you for the compliment, but remember that much that I learned with you.

Regards to all.

Yes Cestus72!
I use woodland scenic snow.
Now I will make puddles (small) but for this I will use gloss varnish. But before that I need to do a little dirt on the "footprints" of the soldiers and also in the way of the wagon.

After this is only from inside the building and make a general mess that the Russians left in searching for important documents ..... Files, chairs and rolling papers .....

Szavai Istvan, thanks!
Man, I particularly think that's what we do is pure art. It is an art that represents events that actually occurred. And I think this is cool in our hobby. To get an idea and did much research on this subject and found many things I had no idea ....

Thanks again. I like it and I intend to further construct actual scenes of war. Let's see how I can go .... lol

Zon .... the chains are parts of jewelery. Work very well in scale, but the rings even if I did. It was very simple: I used a drill (1.5 to 2mm) and I was winding a wire (telephone wire type, but stronger) this bit and then I cut link by link.

I promise you to post here a step by step wire which was used and how the process, okay.

Best regards,
Rodrigo

Really terrific dio.....it's a shame you don't see all that work you did on the roof!

snow effects are tremendous, how it is on the bottom of the building and the gates, really well done.

You should take some photos with a background of the real camp, that way it would look real.....

Thanks for the info. We had a jewelry making shop here, but sadly it closed. I'll have to look around.

Guys...

A few more photos ... now the interior.

Well .. with the arrival of the Russians, the Germans tried to hide, burn and try to erase the evidence of the atrocities they committed ..... so I imagine it must have been something like this. Then in an official communication stating what he found!
