Well,
I´m in the final steps of my ISU-122 for another campaign, and I decided to start here with another kit, a Bradley from Trumpeter.

I will use as background the beautiful BTR-50 from Christopher, who posted here a little time ago.
The idea is to make the AFV closed, because I try to use the interiors in an LVTP-7 wich I start later

Nice work, everyone.
I'll be checking the vendors at Nationals to see if I can find an entry, other than the Bradley.

Jon, keep those updated pics coming !
Don't worry abou the noise, it's just Gary honking the horn after that overtaking

Great work Gary !
You just lost the Silver medal to Jon, but don't worry that Puma is getting to shape.
The details on the 234 Dragon series are great, the tires, jerrycans, suspension..
What paint scheme will you be using ?

I hope you get the 234 addiction and get set on the other versions...

I'm glad you are coming aboard Jose !

Hi Marc,

Im really enjoying the Puma. Once i got past the suspension, which was easier than expected, its been a smooth build. Only one very minor fit issue on the rear, on the upper and lower hull halves, but easily fixed.

LOL Im pluggin away at it John! I really like the Puma kit, ALOT!!! I want to do the 234/1 and the 234/4 eventualy. Ill do the 234/4 sooner than later as i really like it too.

Im very much considering the box art camo. very challenging i think. And rewarding...IF i can pull it off.

Thanks John!

Gary - some great progress you are making so far, keep em coming buddy.

John - nice to see that you got some more super glue, look pretty good so far. How are you liking the build with all the photo etch parts?

Hey guys, I’m seriously thinking about adding this one to the campaign build.
MMK Iveco LMV Panther

While I’m in between painting and other builds, I can work a little bit one. A friend of mine asked me to build it for him and thought I would share it with everyone. It’s a really nice kit with lots of details and parts. It’s also my first time of every seeing one of these kits from MMK. The only real let down for me is all the doors and hatches are molded shut and the pre-painted photo etch parts. They look to toy like to me and you can see the silk screening that eduard uses.

@Gary
Of course you can pull it off !!It's like the suspension, it's going to be easier than you think..

@Christopher

Never saw that kit or brand.

The pre-painted PE, do you think a matt varnish coat would work out ?

I'm doing 2 builds at the same time for this one, so yes, come along with that second build !!!

About the BMP-3, there isn't much PE, the real problem is the plastic thickness/texture, lack of detailing. Specially since there's an interior with it (seats, equipment,ammo... Oh well, I might get on or two Trumpeter's in the future, I'm gonna tackle this Skif beast in the meantime..

Thanks John, as far as the photo etch parts go, they just lack details on them. None the colors match any of the walkaround photo of the real thing I have seen. The other thing is stuff like the instrument dials lack the finesse of their older clear plastic parts with dial photo on to them.I'm just going to repaint them the way I want.

I've never built skif's bmmp-3 before, but have plenty of the t-55/64/80's in the past. Their not bad kits for their time, but no where near the quality of trumpy kits. If you want another bmp-3 kit, go for trumpy's, really great kit, minus their crappy painting guide for the interior.
