some pretty pictures with a primer.

I'm glad, everything is homogeneous and relatively clean.
Tell me what you think of the result and tell me if you see an error or other.

That really looks nice! Seems you have been enjoying the build. I may do something similar with my Maus or kt.

thx guys!

Yes I can Nito, nothing is fix. I must put the wheels and paint the lower hull.

This panther take me lot of time but it was good. I've count my scratch parts, I build 220...
Now, the pre-shading and the base color!

Great imagination and beautiful execution! I particularly enjoy the little details like the control wire for the remote MG! I hope you continue to share your creations with us!

thx!

Here is the preshading. It's the first preshading of my life.

Colors are not good ones, my camera doesn't like artificial light Light color is the primer et the darker is dark brown...

The base color is finished for the hull and the turret. I have a good result but as I presented it, the pre-shading is not really visible ... So I cleared the center panels. It's subtle, so we don't see it, especially on photos. I would paint may be a few little touches of this color to increase contrast.

thx!

I use Vallejo Model Air colors with the thinner for airbrush from the brand.

After the grey primer, I used the following colors:

The preshading was made with 71.041.
The base colors is a equal mixture of 71.027 and 71.075.
The highlight is the a mix with first with 71.075 only and then a little white.
The dark aeras are made with 71.024.

Finally, I paint with chance and a bit anyhow, adapting all the time by observing the result.

I want your opinion on two points.
For the camo, I thought to do that or something resembling it, but replacing the green by brown.

I thought for Decals use DAK and Balkenkreuz of bundeswehr instead of that of the wehrmacht. I think it will be more modern and it will be recalled that the ww1.

I've found that if your preshading doesn't show up, you can post shade in the same manner. I did this with my Abrams and it looks just as good as preshading.

I tried to make a camo but nothing satisfied me. It's hard to paint between the Thoma supports Thoma and on the back of the hull. So just a litlle udpate for today. I continued to do the details, here are the main ones that are finished. I arranged a badge DAK as you can see the glaze. I purposely left incomplete cross range. I also mount the tubes of the Feifel filters. They are made with heat shrink tubing I've painted in black.

YAY!!! I've always had a problem with the filter tubes. I tried heat shrink tubing, but couldn't figure out how to heat it without damaging the rest of the kit. Can you explain how to do it in a bit more detail?

hello, I'm back after many months!

I started my panther only now I was completely unmotivated. A few months ago, I did not pay attention and I dropped the model on the ground ... I had to start all over again as many parts (especially PE) were loosened. I took the opportunity to make new parts or replace parts that I had done before.
Now I am in the painting.
First, I did a test to rust the Friul tracks. For this, I bought the "Uschi von Rosten," it's a burning product for metals. This is the same product as blacken it. So I put some tracks in the product and I made three that are rusted and just one with the uschi. For rust, I used Vallejo and pigment. Here is the result:

Then I made a pre-shading.

Finally, I put the base layer:

And now, the camo! Step masking with silly putty and tamiya tape and result after painting:

Now, I finished with the last layer mask. Here Tamiya tape and paper tape.
Finally, I just retire all masks after spraying brown. It pleases me well for once. However, of course, a problem ... It would have been surprising if. PE parts came with the tape, you can see from the photos. Problem more annoying, the primer does not have a shield plate turret, narrow brass parts still a place on the plastic altogether. I'm really surprised. On brass, still happening, but the plastic ... Anyway, rebonding parts and repainting.

That looks awesome! The camo is very interesting. I just started a new policy of "what-if" camo. Panzer grey and khakibraun just don't cut it for me anymore.
