Construction complete and ready for paint. I’ve finished up the last of the details today on the kit and even replaced the weld marks on the turret. I’ve also received my fruil tracks today and have one side completed.
I’m also looking at the idea of a simple dio for the tank to sit in. The house has been sitting around for awhile trying to figure out what to do with it. I made it from foam core board and plastic strips.
I’ll start priming in a couple of days while I work on a few other projects just sitting on the bench.
Cheers
Chris

Bruce had his surgery yesterday and should be spending his time in recovery as we speak. He'll let us know as soon as he gets out.
Zon: Lol wow, ok I'm feeling like the odd man out not having a built up Marder III on my shelf. Pz IV is a good choice, I like the long barreled versions myself.
John: Good choice, they should have been used throughout the war although I don't know specifically where the 7/1 variant was used. However that said, these vehicles were used heavily on the Eastern Front. Does the AFV kit include metal barrels?
Jon: Nice choice, I have a couple of those myself. Just watch out for John's flak guns!
Chris: Keep up the good work!

Hello All,
I am turning the campaign over to Jermeny for 10 days or so. I am on happy pills. Yesterday they took all 5 of the toe nails on my left toe and I do mot trust myself to make ant decisions. I do love morphine
I will be off line for about 10 days.
Cheers,
Bruce

Good choices everyone.

Jon: One step at a time

The one with skis is a fun build.
John: Keep up the good work! Also be glad you are not working with Panzer I tracks, the Panther ones are far easier on the hands and eyes

Here's the start of this 1972 build:
Hey john that kit may be 40 years old but it still builds up pretty nice. I think I might be going with a slightly newer Tamiya kit,1974, myself here

I guess the 70's are back Sal !!
It might have 40 yrs, but the fitting is perfect, ok it hasn't Dragon or Trumpeter's detailing.
I wish actual Eastern Express / Alan or SkiF would have this fitting or clear instructions nowadays..

Yeah, let me brake out my tie died shirts

This guy has been sitting in my stash for a while and for some reason I keep putting off building it

but I figured may as well put it in here as the Tiger I was going to do is now saved for the Big Cats campaign
So while I was cooking dinner last night I got started into step 3 with no problems

a quick look ahead on the instructions and they get a little busy like the Dragon Puma ones

Wait, you mean this isn't the 70's reunion group build?
John: Sal built that kit not too long ago so he's a good guy to talk about it.
Sal: That's such a weird looking vehicle, how could you not build it?
Naseby: Looking good! You're making me want to revive my PST KV-1S build.
Its a good thing I've been working out with Bruce leaning on me as long as he has

He's doing good to be here with us as much as he can, feel free to drop him a line and wish him a speedy recovery if you haven't already. Cheers and model on fellas

Bruce,
I would like to enter with Trumpeter's KV-II.

I hope add some PE grills and I may replace the AM barrel (which is for the Tamiya kit) with a Trumpeter specific barrel. I've heard the kit barrel is too short.
I see a bunch of the usual suspects are already hard at work

.
Chris - That kit looks awesome, I love the little oddball panzers. Too bad about the tracks, I imagine the Fruils cost more than the kit.
