Hey Pawel, coming along real nice. Started work with masterbox jungle marines, not so nice a set but what the heck, we can make them work, right. Something I noticed about your logs. In most pics were logs are used, the Japonese would connect them with metal spikes. Looks like a large metal staple driven into the upright supporting log and the horizontal one. Would be easy to add if you're so inclined. To late now to add the firing slits that would be about 8 inchs above the ground work but they were not always there. Depended on the water table hieght. As for the barrles, I'd go either O.D. or flat black. Haven't seen any painted in bright colors in front areas but then you never know. So far I am enjoying your build, looking very good. Your palms are too cool, will have to try your way on the dio I am working on now.

Pawel, nice work so far. The scene is coming along nicely.
As for the barrels. Either OD or Haze Grey. The USMC got a lot of their equipment from the Army -tanks, jeeps, artillery and so forth, so OD is a possibility. However, fuel stores and such were supplied by the Navy. The USMC is, afterall, part of the Navy Department. As such, fuel barrels were most likely Haze Grey.

I'll say again: W O O O O W ! ! I really love this kind of work!!
just two or three points:
- joshua has a bazooka AND a shotgun? bad guy... the second one seems a strange weapon, to carry on the first wave on a beach. but I like it. by the way, he's calling his pard for the bazooka's ammo?
- jay needs some attention to his right leg... just few touches.
carry on, I can't wait for the next step!

Hi Pawel, excellent work and terrific scenery! One small detail though which is incorrect for Tarawa. The shotgunner should not be carrying the two-piece bazooka. that weapon was not introduced till later in the war. Just a bit of info for you.

Conor - it's a "J" team!
Ed - I didn't know that. You must be right, guy comes from Dragon Iwo-Jima kit. Unfortunately on the market we have lack of pacific war kits, so I had to use him.
Paolo - Jay has a wound on this leg. His uniform is torn up. It will be covered with blood, I hope it will be more convincing when painted.
Bazooka guy scream something. Maybe "Take cover!" or " It's a lot of japs here!". You can interprete this a you want
All of you guys, thanks for your words,
Regards!
