Hi,
A 2013 campaign will be ideal for me as most of my current campaigns end December 2012. As I am Braille scale I should get all the builds I mentioned earlier done (well hopefully, allowing for 'random tasks' set by SWMBO). Sounds like it will be a lot of fun.
All the best,
Paul

Oh good, I thought the whole year of '13 would be best instead of targeting a 6 or 8 month period. We also need more Braille Scale participants as I really admire those that work in it. I had a whole diorama set up on that scale once but it became too overwhelming.
Now we're just waitin' on Gary!

I did some digging on the Internet on Marders and maybe this will help on identifying them.
MARDER SERIES TANK DESTROYERS
Marder is the name given by the Germans to their series of tank destroyers built on the chassis of obsolete German and captured foreign vehicles. The German word MARDER means MARTEN in English, a small vicious Weasel type animal. The designators "H" and "M" were given according to the engine location, "H" standing for Heckmotor (rear engine) and "M" standing for Mittelmotor (middle engine). The series was designed and created during the early stages of OPERATION BARBAROSSA due to the German Army's need for a more mobile and more powerful anti-tank weapon.
The series consisted of the following vehicles:
MARDER I - 7.5cm Pak 40 built on the French Lorraine Tractors, 184 built.
MARDER I - 7.5cm Pak 40 built on the French H-39 Hotchkiss Tank, 24-60 built
MARDER I - 7.5cm Pak 40 built on the French FCM 36 Medium Tank, 10 built
MARDER II - 7.5cm Pak 40 built on obsolete PZ II Ausf. A - C, 651 built.
MARDER II D - 76.2mm F-22 M1936 Field Gun (Russian) built on obsolete PZ II Ausf. D/E and Flammpanzers, 201 built.
MARDER III H - 7.5cm Pak 40 built on Czech supplied Skoda 38, 243 built additional 175 converted.
MARDER III M - 7.5cm Pak 40 built on Czech supplied Skoda 38, 975 built.
MARDER III Gw38(t) - 76.2mm F-22 M1936 Field Gun (Russian) built on Czech supplied Skoda 38, 363 built.
The Marder II & III were mechanically reliable and all Marder's firepower was sufficient to destroy the majority of Soviet tanks on the battlefield at combat range. The Marder's weakness was its survivability. The combination of a high silhouette and open-top armor protection made them vulnerable to indirect artillery fire. The armor was also thin making them vulnerable to tanks and close range machinegun fire. The Marder series were in production from 1942 to 1944 and served on all fronts until the end of the war.

Good deal and thanks so much Gary. Oh, and can we lose the question mark in the title, now that it's approved? Thanks!
Now that it's official, it is time to start squirreling away some bling for my "Silver & Gold" Marder build... nothing held back.
Blame Phill (his M3 Halftrack build) and of course the Voyager pictures advertising their products. I may still build and paint one but I do want to showcase one this way and I'll assemble it with glue and no solder. Probably even a stand and under glass too.
In the meantime I will show my accumulation of those parts and the Marder that I will build and paint too. It's somewhere under a ton of boxes and dust... think it's the Tamiya Marder II.
And thanks to all of you guys for helping this become reality!

I'm totally in. Signed up yesterday, looks like we hit 10 today.
here is a ribbon proposal:
The ribbon consists of a marder (European pine martin)in grey on a white field surrounded by the three typical camouflage colors you would see marder vehicles. The other colors that you would see marders in, gray (early war) and white (winter) are there too of course.

Jeff,
This is what I use:
SMS004 Photo Etch Bending Tool 5.5" (5 Speed) Hold and Fold
It works well for most of my 1/35 stuff. If you are working with longer straight sections, say, longer than 6", they have an 8" model as well.
Straight from the source (great folks too):

Thanks for stepping up to the plate Vance, but lets get some more feedback first! I kinda want a BIG GUN on a small carriage but it's your guys Campaign and it's going on YOUR profile!
Thanks Matt I kinda know about them. So what's the difference in going the next step up from that one? It's only 5 or so more dollars. Is it that much better, since I'm spending 70 bucks.
The wife will kill me on this, but she doesn't mind all the cash on the kits though!

Jeff I use a 4inch Hold and fold made by The Small Shop and even tho Matt's is the better size (which i want) i built 85 percent of that M2 half track with it , Matt's one is better than mine for track guards and anything along those lines ,,His also has many more smaller bending areas ,,i had to use different size pliers for the very small stuff ..Matt's one would be the one i would choose dude .
Besides track guards are built in more than one piece anyway in most cases so again Matt's works fine

Yeah. I haven't found anything it won't do and it's roughly the size of a dollar bill so it's easier to hide from the wife based on my experience.

uhm... the fact that the entire line of weapons was named after the animal is not connection enough?
the panther campaign has a panther as part of the ribbon.
But yeah, they are basically like a cross between a ferret and a badger - small but pretty tough
