Is there a glitch going on in Kitmaker Network? The 'Browse Sites' at the top of the page won't open to be able to actually change sites. It's becoming frustrating because I have to Google the alternate sites, ie; Historica Forma, Aeroscale, etc. Or do I have a virus??

Working for me, and I checked using Safari, IE and Firefox. What browser are you using, and have you checked with other ones to see if the glitch is still there?

This problem only started 2 days ago, and it applies to all the Kitmaker sites. I had to Google each site seperately and put them in my Favorites. This works, but I shouldn't have to do it this way.

When you click the "Browse Sites" button, are you clicking once, or double clicking? It's silly I know, but if you double click, the "Browse Sites" button is replaced by a "Close" button, and that could be mistaken for opening for a second and then closing. No offense, but I'm looking at this as if my father-in-law was asking the question, and he's a double clicking commando.

Curious - I don't often use the Browse Sites button, but just gave it a try after reading this. When I click I get the big black stripe where the sites should appear, but they flash up and then vanish, leaving me staring into the inky void...
(And that's definitely NOT double-clicking!) I'm on IE9.

Got the same problem.
Maybe Jim is working on it.

Are you logged into armorama.com or armorama.kitmaker.net I advise using armorama.kitmaker.net and see if that cures your problem.

Darren,
I'm logged into armorama.com and then into armorama.kitmaker.net and it's working just fine for me on both sites with multiple browsers. The Interwebz...they are dying!

I don't have any issues with changing sites, the exception being that it occasionally logs me out.

I don't recommend using IE of any version. It is a very problematic web browser for many reasons. I recommend using Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari (if on Mac), etc.
When I have used IE, I have often encountered problems like the ones you are facing. It's possible that clearing your browser history/cookies, etc. will help.

Hmmm... Just logged into Kitmaker.net, and got exactly the same result - there's definitely a new bug to be fixed!
And while I agree entirely with the assessment of IE as a bloated, buggy mess, the fact remains that it is the world's most common browser (thanks to MS' dubious marketing practices...) and a popular site like ours simply has no choice but to work with it.

We just want to keep you here on Armorama
I found the same issue in IE and tried different addresses and logged in & out. I informed Jim just in case he was unaware of this so hopefully soon it'll be back running the way it should.
Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah that is a style-sheet thing as I made some updates last week but obviously did not cross-browser check it, etc.
IE always has it's own funky rules it follows which does make it more of a pain in the butt to keep happy. This is ironic for me to say as of a few years ago I was singing its praises.
Will see if I can make it work.
Cheers,

I actually remember this problem when I was using IE. Try Firefox/Mozilla. I have nothing but good things to say about it. Well, except for the addons not working well.

Thanks for the head's up guys. I think I have fixed the issues at least for IE 8/9. I had to declare an IE document mode as IE 9. Who'da thunk?

Hi Jim,
Not sure if this is related (hence posting here) but now my Armorama homepage has a big blank space where the content used to be! Worse still, there's a car-crash going on around the edges.

Again, this is in IE9.

Ditto, in IE. Not only on Armorama homepage, but on the homepages of other subsites as well.

Jim, to add symptoms for your diagnosis, here's what I found when I googled a review and went to it on Aeroscale. Note how the images in the right-hand box no longer "centre" in columns...

Hope this helps,
Tom
