The storage racks looks awesome. They will look even better when all filled up. Keep up the great work and keep the pics coming.
Thanks! Should get some more work done this week.
This is the exact bucket that I'm building, got the pic from Bob.
cheers
One of the serious problems in planning against Canadian doctrine is that the Canadians do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.

Very nice work Rick. A couple of things you might consider adding.
1. Add mesh on the engine grills if the U.S. M113A2 has that feature.
2. Add some details to the machine gun mount pintle. The kit mount is very basic and the real mount has a locking mechanism that is a relatively easy detail to add.
Congrats on your Merkava article too!

Yes I'm waiting for the mesh to come in the mail for the grills and stowage racks.
I'll look into the mount and see what I can add.
Merkava article?

the main difference would be if have the interior open as the 113a2 had laterals (stick) controls where as the a3 has a hydraulic steering yoke and the a2 did not normally have the external fuel cells
if you are looking at adding the recovery spades i have an official M113 operators manual and can scan the pages that show them if you like (is for the a1 version but most of the systems are the same)
i spent 12 1/2 years in carriers here in new zealand
