Just a small update tonight
Got some primer on the lower hull
Why does the phrase"RAMMING SPEED" come to mind Jeff T.

Hey Jeff, she is looking good, hope,it won't cause you any more problems!
Looks like we have a variety of panzers, looking forward in seeing them.
I was delayed on the road wheels and tracks so hopefully I can start knocking them out soon.

not much progress recently. Suspension on (had the last wheel suspension fitted wrong but corrected, rear plate, exhausts and started on upper hull. this will be OOB for now, going to look to do more detail on fenders (damage, tool clasps, wheel mounts etc....
(note - upper hull just placed on - thats why there is a gap ;-))

Hi guys
This Trumpeter Panzer IV ausf F based ammo supplier for the Karl mortars is a nice kit you are given the option of rubber band or individual links for the tracks
and PE or injected for many of the other parts as well.
Good for PE paranoides like me.
The shells are huge and are almost done, there are two turned metal shells for the crane hoist position.
Next the chassis, bogies, wheels and tracks. This is going to take a while!

I'm in with a 1/35 Academy Tiger 1 (early). It'll be mostly OOB, but with a set of Tamiya indy tracks. So it'll depict an old veteran Tiger.
For the sake of full disclosure, this was what I was going to do for the Tiger Campaign but I never even got started. I figure that this is a good opportunity to get this one out of the "to-build" pile.

Rodolfo:Looking pretty good my friend I think that making grab handles and stuff like that is one of the easiest ways to really improve a build.
Here's a quick update from Me.
Roadwheels painted
Lower hull painted and wheels dry fitted
It may be a couple of days until My next update,as We are moving to our campground for the rest of the summer.I will post more progress later in the week.
Happy Fathers Day everybody Jeff T.

Thanks Jeff!. Yeah, is easy and funny!.
Your work looks excellent!
I finally decided to use spare tracks of Friulmodel. The "pins" were made of plastic styrene 0.50 mm using a candle and phosphorous!..
Regards!

Rod:Thank you sir.The roadwheels didn't come out as well as I would have liked, but they'll pass. That's a great idea for the track pins I'm thinking you heat the nail and just melt the end of the pin?How do you keep the nail from sticking to the rod?
Kevin:Indies look sweet Guy.I've done a few sets of them and enjoy the challenge.
We got all moved except for a few small things,so I should be setting up my Home away from Home bench today or tomorrow.Jeff T.

Jeff: I like the indy tracks as well. The only problem is that each track has two pin marks that need to be trimmed off which took a bit of time. After that the tracks aren't hard to put together now that I've done about 10 sets so far.
The tub went together pretty easily, but I had to sand the exhaust air deflector pieces to get them into scale thickness. It's kinda funny to think that the parts would be about 3 inches thick in real life if I didn't sand them down.
And good job on your build. Looks like things are moving along nicely.
Robert: Good job on your panzer. The track droop looks great.
thanks.

I'm withdrawing my panzer. Popular opinion is to put an 88, on it.

Really like the builds on this campaign. Everyone of them are looking great. Keep them coming!
Last weekend I finally got the tracks completed. Not sure why but friulmodel track number ATL-04 always give me problems. Had to clean up and drill every single link.
On well at least they are done and finally ready to be painted.
Mike

Matt And here I thought you were going to strap an 88 on your PzIV and enter it into some kind of "what if" campaign
I myself will finaly be starting the Brummbär this weekend when I can pick up the kit from Home,
