Hi All
Here my next project based on the photo which I found through Marco Serra aka panzerserra.
The base kit is the old Italeri and I'm using a lot of spare parts to make it better. I will be using the dozer form verlinden productions.
The beginning
The wheels are form dragon, the tracks from tamiya and the sprockets are form tasca. Some ABER PE was used for the return thingies
The sparetracks boxes are form the nieuw dragon kit. The headlights has been moved
Some of the drivers compartment is upgraded with the old TWS interior set. Which isn't great but still a lot better than the original italeri compartment.
The cannon

Great looking build! I'm interested to get your opinion on the dozer blade. I've been wanting to pick one up for a bit but have had real hit or miss luck with Verlinden stuff.
Cheers

Martin, there's actually a couple different pictures of that M7. I don't remember them showing any distinctive markings though.
If you're curious about the pictures I kept running across them while looking for a Sherman Crab, of all things. Looking forward to seeing more.

Spent some time searching for those photos. Couldn't find them unfortunately. Guess that's how it always is, available when you don't care and impossible to find when you need it!
Guess my 'New Year's Resolution' shall be to save photos even if I don't find them relevant at the time.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks all:
An update on the engine deck, the italeri is a late engine deck which I had to modify. the Eudard PE set came to a help.
The other thing I did was to remove a petrolcap and added 2 from a old dragon kit.
The .50 ring is from mastermodels and look better than the orignal italeri (it is a bit thick now but I don't mind.)
Next up, the dozer

Very nice detailed progress. There are a out of specific details that are not in view in the 1/1 picture at the top. Is there a ref book with this in it? The Squadron Signal book pictured above?

Thanks Joel
The next steps was the paint job.
I used tamiya acryls 50:50 Olive Drab : Deck Tan
Some spots has to be redone but the base is there,
Some weathering of the interior

Martin, simply outstanding. It's really looking awesome with a cost of paint. And speaking of paint, I like your mix. I've been using Tamiya OD and Dark Yellow. Will have to give the Deck Tan a try, especially to help with color modulation.

I did a test fit for the stowage (Resicast)
this is how it looks now
