Very clean! Nice to see something that doesn't have hours of weathering spent on it. My eye keeps being drawn to the mantlet. I really like how that turned out! Keep on building!

Thank everyone.
I used Model Master Acrylic US Armor Sand for the top coat. After priming with Mr Surfacer 1000 the model was pre-shaded with some tamiya xf-1 black.
I also used some oil/turpenoid washes to highlight nooks/crainies and raised details with some application of Vallejo pigments (mostly from the dust/sand collection)to give a filter to the overall color. The treads were painted an overall metallic dark grey of my own custom mixing then the inner pads were highlighted with panzer grey and the outer tread pads were treated with Vallejo pigments.
Everything was sealed with a Polly Scale flat clear acrylic.
I figure these tanks are in the desert and probably don't get exposed to much mud or watery environs.

Jeff, Really, a nicely done M51. Your weathering really has that "used but not abused" look. Your washes really brought out the details.

I'm likin' it, and I'm not even letting my bias show.
