All I can say is wow. You're doing a great job with it. IT actually brought back memories of my buddies in the 13th Engineers, 7th IDL at Ft. Ord.

@ Brian, as too the glue marks, seams and gaps...well I sand glued ares and fill in seams using super glue.

@ Kurt, model after model...well it helps to be retired and having nothing else to do, even the house is fully finished.

@ Todd, hey man still go for it. if you need reference pics I will send you what I have.

@ Jeff, yes it will be at BuffCon, hope to see you there.

@ Ed, do it look close, see something missing, point it out.

Thanks Guys

Here's a bit of good news guys, I'm going to work on a second SEE project which will be turned into a resin kit. The second model will have better detail and a rounder front fender cab.

This will be produced and sold through Commander Models/Iron Shipwrights.

I won't be able to start this project until mid April. If all goes well it should be available late summer.

Happy Modeling,
Joe

My latest update, well I’m starting to see the finish line. A few little odds and ends left to do and then finish painting. What paint you see will make it easier to get at before the sub sections are glued on.

Great work Joe! Looking forward to seeing the casting offerings of the SEE. I really enjoyed your past efforts, like I am holding a casting of one of your ice coolers. Neat stuff! Thank you for sharing

Sorry for the late progress postings. Here are the latest photos. I painted on the base color of Tamiya's NATO green and Field Green mixed 50/50.

Made it easier for myself, using colored pencils to fill in the NATO colors on printed photos I found on the internet.

Thanks Hisham, and I see it's to late to fix it as the edit function is missing. I'll try to repost those missing.

Here are the missing photo...

Rotors (front)

Fenders

In this photo you can see the cooling box in the background. The cooling box has two electric fans. The fan came from race car kit and a mold was made to make extras.

I have no idea why I added a engine, you will and can not see it. But still !!!

I now have the cab glassed in with interior added and it's fully painted. I'll take photos later and post.

Joe

Looking very nice Joe. Great scratch building. An option on the engine, to show it off, is to leave the hood off. I remember in Iraq the hoods were removed due to overheating.

It's getting closer to the finish, applied the last of the NATO colors yesterday and will do so weathering.

Mind you this is only mocked up. I still need to connect the hoses and spot lights, weather and add unit markings followed by any paint touch ups.

I'm still looking for plain 6 hole rims in 1/35th.
