Oh, you mean the position of the logo compared to the sag at the bottom? Never would have thought of that

Hisham

Yes. My brain wasn't working and I was having a little trouble explaining myself

You're doing a good job on this kit, Boris... and I don't know about any possible scale discrepancies, but it looks really good overall.

Which PE set did you use to detail the .50 caliber?

Hisham

Thanks Hisham!
I used RB models M2 upgrade set , used it multiple times on different vehicles and works great!

Check out the side windows, this one has pistol ports (the black circles)

Nice find! did not notice that...
Kinetic's RG-31 comes with the ports.

Thanks for the update on the resin wheels Henk!

This thread is still alive
I've been busy with a lot of different models lately, so sorry for the late update.
I've fully painted the RG-31 exterior and applied the decals.
Here are two shots of the paintjob:

After the paintjob I applied the decals, painted the details and applied the last parts such as the light covers: (the exhaust is not painted in this update, but resolved that by now)

I noticed the windows might be a bit too blue? what do you think of them? I might try to tone them down a bit. What would be the best way to achieve this?

Thats it for now! next up is painting the wheels and weathering!

Hi Boris!

Yes, it was very blue.

To tint my glasses I used a mix of clear green and clear blue (Tamiya)and a lot of solvent...

You can see the result here.

What paint did you use? You can get the windows to repaint?

If you used Tamiya or Gunze, just spend a little alcohol to remove all the paint and then repaint.

If you used enamels, I think the solvent can damage the window. So I do not know how to help you.

BTW, your RG-31 is fantastic, it is a nice kit and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Good luck!

Marco

Hi Marco!

Thank for your suggestion! I used Tamiya clear blue, I will figure out how to make the windows less blue.

glad you like my RG-31!
Yours looks nice as well! funny how you showed the interior, I closed everything because I did not like the interior detail and did not feel like scratching this time.

Thanks Boris!

Yes, the kit lacks details inside. But if we put some accessories it looks funny as you said.

I hope you can fix the color of the glasses. The painting job looks excellent.

Cheers!
