Hi Guys!
Recieved the Rg-31 from Luckymodel a week ago and started with it!
I also did a video review and wrote something about it on
my website.
I started as the instructions said, with the chasis.
I just got a few pictures:
I wonder if anyone has some great references to create some extra detail like hoses, cables etc? I cant seem to find a great walkaround on the internet...
For more info see my original topic
here Thanks for watching!

Hi Boris,
the best (and probably only) source for a detailed walkaround
is the photo CD from Robert Skipper (18 Bravo). I ordered this CD and found it very helpful for improving this already good kit.

When building mine, I find that the rear seats are incorrect in shape and they are too high. I'am now wondering what I can do to corect this.
New or conversion seats ?

I have some detail photos of a Canadian Mk.3 hosted on Armour Workshop - you might have to join the group but it's well worth it as there are some great gallery photos, and more to come.

I don't think it will be too long at all before we see update and detail sets for this kit. How long did it take to get aftermarket sets on the market for the Bronco Buffalo?

That's why, my RG31 stay quietly in his box waiting better days. Waiting resin wheels and why not new seats.

Hi Boris,
yes, I work on the RG-31, too. I just finished the interior, adding only the seatbelts and the radio. Like said before, I find it a very easy kit and so I gave Raymond of Kinetic Models
my best regards when I met him in Nuremberg.

I have a full walkaround of this vehicle in my site but only knew it as Nyala.
TIA

Hi Olivier
I guess it's a Mk3 too, but the roof top is different, with two hatches in front of the turret ring...

wow, getting busy here
Thanks for the link Jim!
Yeah, Waiting makes sense.... but I feel like building a kit OOB again.Since Im building the
M1070 & M1000 Im spending so much time on aftermarket stuff.... taking a break from it and just "rush" trough a build keeps the spirit high

guess others know what Im trying to say
New photo updates are incoming! I built the model for about 70-80% now...

I was checking out the blower today, got measurements and photos. Also of engine. Wish I'd seen this earlier, although I know seats are constantly upgraded for safety reasons. Your references are not even a year old - even so newer seats may already be getting switched out.

No 'portholes'/firing ports on those ones either. 'Early' Mk.3?

Ya, I am pretty sure it is an original Mk.3. It is the same the image of the Nyala that Olivier posted (which I think is a Spanish Nyala with UNIFIL).
The early Mk.3s (I think 50 were purchased for the first batch)had two forward hatches at the front of the roof, then the round MG hatch, and then six hatches filling up the rest of the roof area. The early versions with the CF could pintle mount a C6.

Roof pic coming from Tankograd Militär fahrzeug heft 1/2003. This is a 4 pages articles with SFOR-UN called Reumech RG31 Charger/Nyala
On the Jim's RG31 walk you can see that these trucks came with non slip surfaces on engine hood for example.

One of the serious problems in planning against Canadian doctrine is that the Canadians do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.
