Here's proof I build something other than Sherman's!
Tamiya's Matilda II (newer release) painted with Floquil and MM enamels.

Nice one G. Really like the paint job and the color choices. Always nice to see your projects, even when it's not a Sherman!

Thank you all!
The colors are:
Floquil "Mud" straight from the bottle for the Portland Stone.
A mix of Pullman Green and CSW Green 50-50 for the slate.
Reefer White 60% with 40% Depot Olive and a smattering of Grimy Black for the Silver Gray.
I would add a touch more black to the silver gray, and a tad less CSW Green next time.
I weathered with oils adding a faint yellow ochre filter overall.

Wayne, nicely done. your paint scheme and weathering has that used but not abused look to it.
So there is life after Shermans.

I'm Wayne and I'm a Shermaholic.
Life after Shermans............YES!
You would be surprised to know I have a Hasegawa 1/24 Kubelwagen currently on the bench. I built and painted a Orange Box M1A1 while building this Matilda. AND I will be tarting another M1A1 as well as a 1978 Dodge Monaco police car.
The Dodge will have a bashed chassis from a 71 Charger to make it more accurate.

Very nice paint job. Nice separation between the colors. That must have been a tedious job of masking on that irregular surface.
It's a shame about the decals. Any way to salvage them?

Lots of masking tape and silly putty for sure.
The decals only look like that in photos. I will not mess with them any further.

Wayne,
GREAT Matilda! I remember getting the first version of that kit when I was about 12 years old...boy was THAT a long time ago! Your pain work is outstanding! I've got too many kits in progress at the moment, a Vorpanzer IV, an M1A1 AIM, a PAK 40, and just started on the very beginning of a Tamiya Leclerc Series 2 today. Can somebody help me FINISH one of these things?
Oh yeah, forgot about the Tasca Sherman recovery vehicle... SInce you're so close, Wayne, maybe you con do something for me, like kick me in the head!

Since we literally live a few blocks from each other, how about I take some of those stalled projects off you hands???
Thanks for the kind words Curt.
