Hi Guys

This is the first ship model I have ever made and I have to say I fully enjoyed the Bronco model.
It only has a few parts and it goes together in no time at all.
I basically built the model out of the box except for the loops at the front and rear and the two tiny eyelets at the front of the bow.
I also gave the exterior a going over to give the model a bit of a more used look by adding dents to it.
I painted the model with Testors paints and the torpedoes with Alclad.
I based the paint scheme on some references I found on the net.

I wanted to make it a well weathered model and I liked the idea of a heavy weathered upper part, a dirty water line and a less weathered lower part.

The weathering was done with a mix of Mig products and oil paints.

Enough talk here are the pictures

Any tips or comments are welcome.

Cheers,

JW

Great work! Not much of a navy man, myself. But, I think you would get more constructive criticism on ModelShipwrights.

Nicely done. The weathering is just super, as it looks very realistic.

Thank you for the nice comments guys.

I am thinking I might do another vessel in the future after finding out how much fun the weathering is on them.

Cheers,

JW
