Here are some pics of my Tamiya Churchill. This was a first attempt using hairspray to replicate damaged paintwork and it wasn't a great success. I put down a coat of green followed by matt varnish then hairspray then the white and looked forward to lots of fun chipping away with a stiff brush. Not so, I couldn't shift it, ended up using pot scrubbers and all sorts to try and chip it. I did try it out on a spare bit of plastic before I started and it worked great, don't know where I've gone wrong. Also spraying Tamiya white wasn't a load of laughs either, the AB kept blocking seemed very "chalky"? Anyway the end result doesn't seem to bad to my eye, more happy accident than design! Live and learn eh.

I agree. I just looks like a freshly applied white wash instead of "old".

Very nice 'snow-white' application, congratulations Paul!
You may create the tank with heavier mud applied over the track, would you? Thank you for sharing.
Cheers
Garry

Paul, your final results look outstanding. I particularly like the worn white wash effect on the turret. Looks very realistic.

It may not have come out as you wanted it to, but it sure came out great looking! Everyone should hope for these kinds of accidents!
