@miniflea: I like the dirt effect it looks real, could you give us your method?
@Jose: color does give it a different look, good job.

So there is my entry. Armored car Ford Tf-c in 1:48. It is actually a resin conversion kit of excellent 1:48 RPM Ford T Ambulance kit. Some of history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_FT-B
And the kit:

There is only 8 resin parts:

It is not going to be a huge model, it is only about 3 inches long. But it has a 4 color camo

That's a finished "master" kit - RPM Ford T ambulance.

Resin parts are primed already using Tamiya white primer:

small and only improvements

Thanks! It is really simple. I mixed a small amount of the pigment with a small amount of water and applied it with a brush like a wash. Next time I'm going to try it with turpenoid instead of water, because the water gave me grief with surface tension. I had to wait for it to party or mostly dry and then smudge it around again with the brush.

Been terribly lazy posting here, but here's a catch up on the staghound

Construction was straightforward and I got all 4 wheels on the ground. For me that was the fun part, now the chore of painting:

primed and waiting for my entirely spurious interpretation of SCC15, a 1:1 mix of Revell 66 and 363

It may not be correct but I like it as a colour. Anyhow, I'm calling it done

Hi Jan (EHAM0624), I like the idea to build the BA-64, but captured by germans, just to do something different...
Looking for next steps in your building...

Bushmaster is finally done. Spray painted some dust on it this morning.

Jan;
The Ba64b looks pretty nice! Maybe dull the turret tarp a bit. The one rather serious issue would be your decals... which have silvered rather badly, I'm afraid to say! Maybe you can apply some sort of micro-sol or solvaset stuff to better settle them down?

Hi Bob, I think I found out what happend. Normally I mix my future coat with a bit of tap water but in this case I used too much water most likely I should have realised it when I noticed that some pin washes did not behave as they normally should. On my next project I will put my decals straight in the wet future layer,.. and reduce the water,...learning curve i call this.
Anyway i call i done.
This oldie +/_ 1996 is not like the "new" versions (Miniart) on the market but I enjoyed myself building it. The figure is from Dragon but would not really recommend it due to the fact the plastic is rather soft and there for it's a bit of a challenge to "mold" (read sand) it into shape.

Thanks Sean, Giovanni! Am quite happy that it didn't go to the bin, going thru the kit's alignment issues and all. On to the next campaign

Today is the last day, right? I've actually been done with this one for a while, but haven't posted that I'm finished with it yet. Not quite midnight yet in my time zone
