Not sure if this has been done, before. But, I would like to propose a campaign for all of us who need practice and those who have mastered builing and finishing figures. So, it goes something like this:
Must have at least five figures. Vehicles are find, but must stick to a minimum of five figures. Any era. Any army. Scale from 1:72-1:35. I would like to kick this one off, in November and continue to May, 2014. Figures must not be started, before the campaign begins. Any vehicles may be started, but must not be finished before the campaign begins. I am hoping that, those of us in need of improvement can glean the skills from some of the masters. Let me know what you think.

How about What-ifs? Sci-fi? I've got a few figures planned for other campaigns and wouldn't mind some side projects to blow off some steam.

Good idea Matt I could do with the practice
Posted: Saturday, April 27, 2013 - 01:16 AM UTC
Howdy Y'all
I could use the practice also. Too bad the Dragon kits only come with 4 figures. Any chance of an exception? Four figures if you include a vehicle or weapon such as an AT gun? I'm in!
Thanks,
Don "Lakota"

Exceptions would be on vehicles with the entire crew compliment. Should be a minimum of four. This campaign is based around figures. Rather than the figures complimenting the vehicle, the vehicle should compliment the figures.

Figures may not be started, before the campaign.

Matt, just do the 5-figure minimum and its an acceptable entry, right?
It's not necessary to have them depicted in one scene as in a vignette or diorama. They may as well be sourced from different kits. Correct me if I'm wrong these assumptions.
Cheers,
Tat

So far as nobody else has a problem with it, you can.

I will be building the Tristar German 20mm FLAK 38 Early / SdAh 51 [w/ Waffen SS Crews]. It is crewed by four and I think I can find one more, to make it five.

I've got some ideas:
1/48 T-34 w/ infantry riders, or
1/35 Dragon U.S. D-Day infantry, or
1/35 Dragon Falschimjagers with a mortar.
Sounds like a great idea for a campaign.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

I think I'm going to make this a two part campaign. The first part, is this one. For the second part, I would like the people who complete this campaign to build either a diorama or vignette. The figures, from this campaign, along with any vehicles/guns must be used for the terrain campaign. Let me know what you think.

If I understand this, we have a figure campaign that has a restriction on only allowing 5 (or more) figures to enter, so we can practice figure painting, then, there is a 'phaze two' that takes those figures and sticks them on a dio and in turn gives practice to terrain painting etc..... Please correct me if I've missed something

Figure Painting?
What-If scenarios?
Count me in - as long as some Mad-Max like diorama with 30mm figures and some crazy stuff is allowed!
(Sorry, I'm no reality-in-scale builder, more fantasy-in-model-builder )
Cheers

That is correct.
Have to fit this one in, while the campaign board is not full. And, I want to give everyone time to decide on which kit they want to build.
"What-ifs" are fine.

I'll probably do a set of Zvezda Vempel figures that has been gathering dust. I figure I'll build them as some sort of alien force. It'll give me the chance to try some mods to change their look.

Alex: Sounds interesting.
I'm not sure I will split the campaign, as there has already been a dio/vignette campaign. Feed back is appreciated.

This sounds good for me, I'm in.
And probably for both phases too.
And I know I could really benefit from this as I haven't painted any figs in a long time.
I have figures planned for a T34/85 I'm hoping to be using in a Berlin 1945 Dio.
Cheers Dave
