F.Y.I. Archer is now making alternating resin/decal rivets in a variety of scales for railroad modeling applications. Also offering straight rows of rivets as well. Offered in HO,S,O and G scales.

Well, except for duplicating three parts (which will be done in the production molds...), it's done. The large parts are off to Rochester for casting, and the small parts are sorted, as can be seen here:
We're going to try something new with this kit. The molds are going to be designed to correspond with logical sub-assembly procedure. Things like suspension, drivers, tender, cab, etc. Hopefully it'll work. Production molds start tomorrow.

Production molds for the two piece parts are finished. One piece parts are cast and on the way to be photographed. Now, on to the build up and photoetch...

Jon: Too late to help you on your mega tender riveting project but the following may held you in the future.
These work just like decals except they are raised resin rivets printed on the decal carrier. Just paint over then as usual when finished. Perhaps the larger sized 1/48th rivets would work in 1/35th.
I have used Archer's raised Sherman casting marks before and they work GREAT! Mike

Not at all. I dropped a few things on that would stay in order to get a better idea of the look of the kit, and added a GTB in front to give it a sense of scale...

Sorry but where are you seeing the French marking? Looks to me like there are only 3 letters on the tender which sort of look like USA.
