I'm tired of making suspension units (and the rear connectors are backwards...), so we're on to the cylinder block. Then, the drive units...

Hi Dennis,
Price is still in the same range. This will just be a bigger version of what we're already making with our truck kits (the design is the same, just a much bigger subject). Today was slow since I spent most of the day restocking others kits (and searching for 185/65R15 tires, but that's another story...), but the good news today was that the 3-d printer arrived, so the wheels may be on the way soon. Next up are the drive cylinders.

I take it you are working on a German boxcar, I would welcome seeing your work as I am starting one as well. Unfortunately your photos don't seem to be coming through.

In another vein, have you ever considered doing the pre-WWII US T4-series Combat Cars, the superfluous and obsolescent M7/T7E2 Medium, T6 (initial M4 Medium), or the T20 thru T25 Mediums? Just asking... 1.90E_31

A view into the smokebox of a Shay locomotive on the Cass Scenic Railroad in Cass, WV.
The "bells " shown here channeled the exhaust steam from the exhaust nozzle located on the floor of the smokebox up and out the smoke stack directly above. This action greatly enhanced the "draw" of hot gases from the firebox, through the flues and out the stack. This significantly improved the steam making efficiency of the modern steam locomotive.

Hello all,
this is my first post so lets hope that I do it right.
Three of us in the U.K. are looking at making a kit of the S160 in British O gauge (1;43.5), in photo etched brass with brass, nickel silver and white metal castings.
I'm trying to add some photos to this mess. but I'm having some problems doing so.
I appear to have uploaded them but how do I get them in to the post.

You need to be posting your photos to some sort of free photo service like Photobucket, or Flickr or Instagram. They store the photo file for you and then give you a link that you then copy and paste into whatever reply you are creating on the Armorama. You do not generally post photos directly in Armorama and then try to connect to them in the thread.

Sorry I don't use Photo bucket etc. So if anyone want to see the drawings or down load them, they will have to open the photo button, I'm sure that the drawings will help some one, as they are copies of works drawings. Complete with a lot of the main dimensions.

OK my friend, I can't answer all your questions about photo posting but I went through EXACTLY the same thing, asking exactly the same questions as you.
The various photo posting services are free, you just register and set up an account. That's what you need to do if you wanna post photographs to the Armorama site.
I don't know what else to say but please don't shoot the messenger.

Sorry if I sounded terse, it's just that all of the hobby sites that I'm a member of in the U.K. I can just down load photos straight onto without having to go through photo bucket etc.
The main person that I'm thinking of is Jon who is doing a S160 in 1/35th. If he can't get the drawings from my photos, if he lets me know I'll send him them by PM.

I am also trying to supply Jon with some reference so I would certainly be interested in seeing your information as well. As I am sure the others following this thread would also.
I know this system works out well for the Armorama folks as it keeps their overall server size down and keeps their costs under control. As to just what the Photobucket people get out of this I have not a clue!
