It's been a bit slow lately, but managed I've made some progress on my Merkava:
Lots of PE on this thing. Still waiting for the chains to arrive from Bulgaria and I've ordered a set of Friuls for this kit as well.

Update on the Leo 2.
Time to wrap up the hull. I was a bit surprised that there really wasn't a lot left to do.
Assembly is basically done and she's ready for paint. Given the mish-mash paint that's on it, I'll probably primer it.

Hello everyone.
The photo isn't much to look at. Camera is loaned to my brother so snapped a quick photo with my ipod. I'll post better photos from here on out.
It's the Italeri re-packaging of the old Academy M-10 Achilles kit. I started it a few months ago and it was my 1st attempt with an eduard photo etch kit, got discouraged/new born son busy and boxed it. I'm hoping I can finish it because the ejector pin marks are pretty prevalent. Lifes too shot to fight ejector pin marks.
Take care, and wish me luck
Jeff

Here's my entry for this campaign, I hope it's not too close to finished?
It's an old pic, I just never got around to uploading it.
I've not done any of the tracks as you can see, mostly just done a bit of work on the turret and suspension (wheels complete too).
Will do this one slowly, and will remain OOB.
Nice to see some other old kits getting dusted off and finished - Still amazing to see the quality of work some people can produce!
Hope to get to a similar level over the years.

Hi again.
Here are some non-garbage pics, sorry about the original.
Interior is about ready for primer. Had to make some ammo racks as the ones included in the kit were for 76mm cardboard ammo tubes for the original m-10 gun. Mine are not 100% accurate, but I'll take 60% accurate if it's not too likely to be seen. Also more filling and sanding is needed to get the turret interior looking respectable. Ugh. Any more ejector marks on the inside of this turret and it would be a colander.
Great work all around,
Cheers
Jeff

And now, some shots of the finished beast...
In the end, this was a fun, simple build (typical Tamiya). I used a lot of techniques I never tried before (using pigments, rain streaks, etc.) and I'm quite pleased with the end result. I'll be trying more of these techniques on my next builds for sure.
Constructive criticism is, of course, welcome!
Cheers,
Chris

Back in the saddle with the Opel Mautilier (actually I had all but consigned this one BACK to the shelf of shame thinking that this campaign ended on 1-1.. doh!)
The chassis and bed are done
the gun is done
and the cab is basecoated and glossed.
I need to clean up the pigments in the bed a bit and scuff up the flooring but want to wait until the gun is attached so I can leave 'clean' floor under it.
It's just a crummy old Italeri kit, but it makes a fun weathering testbed.

Looks like I'm going to jump in on this one as I've got a stack of kits I'd like to finish.
First up will be my Tamiya T-55, then my Tamiya Pz2 then who knows what.
Should be able to get some photos up tonight.

A little more progress.
The fire extinguisher is wrong for a British m-10. But I like the splash of red. Hoping to start some weathering soon.
Cheers

Calling this one done
It's a crummy old Italeri kit and fought me tooth and nail NOT to be finished, but glass is in, convoy marker is painted, stick a fork in this one and call the kids for dinner its DONE
odd, there are cropped version of these pics, not sure why the uncropped are showing up.
crud, pics are hosted at photobucket.. how do I get them into the gallery?
Cant paste the link into the upload box..
I dont do this often enough to remember how I did it last time...

Here's my entry, a 1/48 ARII "Tony". This started at least 15 years ago as a break from armor and after attempting to fill a pretty sizeable gap between the wing and fuselage I gave up on it. Later I discovered some tricks with putty and thinning it, but the damage was done and so it sat, mocking me from the stash shelf. The figure is getting thrown in the spares box as it's a pretty bad item (kind of egg shaped) but I'll soldier on with the plane.

@Mike: Very nice!
My Merkava is shaping up nicely. The Friuls were a dream to work with; almost no drilling and easy assembly.
Sub assemblies are pretty close to being finished. Still got to do the chains and the turret basket.
