I took the plunge and even found the SEP kit to go with it. Gives me something to look forward to since it should be there by the time I get back from vacation!

I like it. It's a really nice mod. What's the point, though? There are a lot of modelers who would like to get this; but, you can't find a DML 3536 if your life depended on it. By the time DML decides to make another limited rerelease, Blast will probably have discontinued this set because of low sales volume due to the fact that nobody has the kit to use it on. This is akin to being placed in a round room and told to crap in a corner.
Hi!
As far as getting DRAGON #3535s and #3536s go, you have to check on evilBay every day. It may take you a year, but you'll find them eventually. It took me about 2 years to finally find an HO Brass New York, Ontario & Western Rwy Y-2 Class 4-8-2 Steam Locomotive. The DRAGON #3535s and #3536s are certainly more plentiful than that brass loco. I bought 2 #3535s and 2 #3536s not long ago on evilBay...

I just bought a DML #3535 off Amazon for around $30-some-odd with free shipping... there 3535's abound on Amazon... check there. Theres also some #3536's floating around Amazon too if I remember correctly... It only took me about 2 or 3 days of searching constanstly before I found the kit. I even bout a 1/144 AAV7A1 along with the Abrams. Right now it'd take about 2 minutes of scrolling to find an AIM #3535 on Amazon. And there's one for only $39 right now.
I do some 3D design work. Message me for more info on what I'm doing or have done. Inquire about a product catalog.

Hi all I like the Dragon kit that's why I picked up 7 of each in the last round of re release but realy if you can use the Tamiya Tusk parts on the Dragon kit then it shouldn't be a drama to use the Blast kit on the Tamiya kit I thought they would have made it universal or at least said it can be used on both brands Cheers Ben.
You could probably use this set on a Tamiya kit; but, not everybody is crazy about it. Qualitywise, the difference between the DML and Tamiya kits is like the difference between a Caddy and a Buick. I've squirreled away enough 3535's and 3536's to keep me busy for a long while. I was referring to other modelers who weren't able to spend lots of time on the net hunting these kits down. It'd be nice if the kit and AM manufacturers were in sync. Both could benefit from a closer collaborative relationship.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for AM manufacturers to catch up with new kits, (even a bunch of "old" ones) if you're in a rush to get something new built, that is. We have much better luck with AM as soon as something WWII GERMAN comes out- it's a waiting game for everything else. Thankfully, VOYAGER came out with PE fairly close on the heels of both of the DRAGON #3535 and #3536 kits...

Okay guys, got mine in yesterday. All is good except for the tiny camera that is worked into the right-rear brake light and the dust flap thingy for the right-rear fender, to presumably keep dirt and grime off the tiny camera. I can’t find any reference to this stuff and can’t verify if this stuff is on the A2’s stationed in Korea, which I am building. Can anybody shed any light on this? Thanks again guys

Get some reference for the CROWS, the directions are not very clear, the rest should fall right into place

Is it possible that the conversion can be added on an M1A2?
Meaning are there any visual external differences between M1A2 and M1A2 SEP?

I don't think so. I have not seen any straight M1A2s with the Crows 2 and V2 parts fitted.
The M1A2 SEP has a different left rear hull setup where a set of batteries or (on older versions) an Under Armor APU (UAAPU) was installed, it also has the Vapor Compression Unit (VCU - A/C Compressor) in the rear turret basket, along with armored covers under the turret for the hoses and wiring for the VCU.

Order the Tamiya turret parts from Tamiya, much cheaper than a full kit. The hull modifications can be done easily, sand off the left-rear fuel cap and the rest is all sheet styrene work. There is other minor stuff, handles, vents etc. I did it with their first M1A2 kit. I’ll try and post a pic after work but it’s not that difficult

I too did an M1A2 SEP conversion from an older dragon M1A2 kit, long before the M1A2 SEP kit was available. All the scratch parts are in white styrene.
Left rear hull.
VCU
Under turret armor for VCU hoses and wiring.
Good luck on it.
