Think you are all missing the point here, the poor bugger has not only lost his arm, but he us left handed! Take it from a fellow left hander that is a pain in the a#Łe!

ok look I have watched this from the start and saw it before all the posting started, yes at first I thought it could be upsetting to some but thinking about it, I've seen so much worse online and on the telly. In light of this, I thought I would share my own light hearted work, this sits on display next to all my other work and out of everything, its the 1st thing that people ask me about, ok not as violent as this dio but my 5 year old son that helped me would tell you that killer giant chickens are a real risk to us!

The only difference? Really?
I think I'll let you re-view the two works in question and take time to reconsider that statement.

It is a model !!!!!! Do you guys never just model for the fun of it !!!! Reminds me of the guy that got slated for putting a dinasour in a dio for the fun of it !!!!

Give this guy a break and let him progress

Nah..I've gone well past that Nige...now I'm focused on an individual who thinks a diorama which obviously took a great deal of time and effort is exactly the same as one which took about 2 hours tops. Such a statement is again, insulting. I'm simply waiting for his clarification on this point.

I'm not saying the quality is the same, those words never left my mouth, what left my mouth was both diorama's have deceased soldiers in them, both of which have blood, and both of which are gory. Just because someone took a few hours to get the same message across versus 9 months or whatever the build time is, doesn't change the fact, that the pure subject matter is the same.

yeah and where do I talk about the quality of the builds? the subject matter of two deceased soldiers is the subject in question and how it was portrayed, one was a US soldier, the other Russian.

and who gave you the model police badge?

Hang on, the OP admitted he slapped it together as a laugh, that it was a light attempt of a dio and was not to be taken as anything more, this second dio that's now been dragged in has been put together with care and thought, read the comments and they mention that the blood is of a strong colour but never is it discussed as over the top or abit on the taboo side of war. This is like comparing a Ford Mustang to a soap box car!!! (I believe a 'soap box car' is what you guys on US call a home made go kart)

I never took up the issue of subject...I do some pretty violent models myself..which have not been displayed here. My comments have always been on the issue of effort, or lack of.
Who made you the judge of anything, andromeda? I have equal right to my opinion..which is all we're trading in here. You might not like my opinion, that's your opinion. Welcome to it too. Have at it.
In brief, I find presenting a turd on a plate in art class rather inapropriate. if the other students laugh at you, that's yours to wear. That's my position on the matter. i don't care if you model the aftermath of a napalm run, you better do it really well.

No body made me the judge of anything, nor did I ever claim to be, you made your point, and I get where you are coming from, the crappy part about the internet is you can't hear tone of voice, which usually helps get attitude and idea across.

Looking through your gallery, I can say that you aren't half bad at this diorama thing but this particular one doesn't do anything for me. Like someone said both the jeeps were not in use in the forties and the whole scene in general looks a bit like a drawing on paper that some little kid would envision of what war looks like. You can do a redo of this thing and save it from being so over the top.The whole layout of the thing is unimpressive. Needs a slight redo. Just a suggestion. The freedom of expression belongs to you to do with as you wish.
