Hi Marcos! I love what you've done with the pick up. Can I ask where you got the ammo belt, and cardboard boxes from please? Many thanks.

Thanks again Robert. The Corona box is a private joke between a Mexican modeller friend and me. And it is kind of a personal signature. Plus it is not so far fetched. Now that Heineken owns Corona. I introduced the cigarettes mostly to add a little color. And such minatures look cool.
Darren, the ammo belts are from Legend and came in the Merkava IV LIC upgrade kit. The boxes are from Verlinden, Alexander and some I downloaded from Internet a while back.

Trust me, Corona would have been welcome. Had the Mexican Army joined ISAF, I'm sure we'd have had it too. As it was, all we had was what partner nations had. Most of ours was German, as my German was better than my nearly forgotten Danish, although I did score us some Tuborg a few times.
And don't get me wrong, the color of the one cigarette pack in the cab is cool. An entire carton in the bed would have lasted until the first encounter with a gang of kids running out to the truck.

Nice job and painting so far! Looking forward to see the final result! Could you please tell us the manufacturer of the KIA rebel in the middle of the above photo, the one sitting dead? Keep up the good work!

The left and middle one are by Warriors.

I'm curious where the far right one comes from.

Hi Marcos,
Excellent details on the figures...very well done.
I just made this same pickup kit for a diorama I am working on too.
Check my Blog post "MENG pickup..Egyptian Style"
I am also planning a very similar diorama with an Egyptian edge. I am using the same dead rebels kit too!

cheers

Hussein

Thank you all, and Gino yes, I got those warrior figures a long time ago. The other KIA is Verlinden. That was a set of two also:

Working on the structure. Had to sculpt the inside of the Verlinden ruin.

Added metal structures and window frames.

Hi Marcos,

that's a great looking diorama you've built there!!! Please accept my congratulations!!!

It's good to see that you have the same problems with "jeans blue" that I encountered!

I have a question -if you allow me-, regarding the electric wiring. It looks very realistic! What material did you choose??

Thanks for sharing this project with us!

Cheers

Romain
