Hi Romain. Thank you. For the wires I used stretched soft sprue (heating it and stretching it). The soft plastic (not really rubber) came from some old kit's tire sprue.

Overall it looks great. I like the building, figures, and truck. The only issue I have is the blood on the casualties. It is way too red. Blood very quickly oxidizes and turns a very dark red-brown, almost black color, especially when it soakes into the dirt. The rest looks great.

Thank you Gino. About the blood issue, I thought about it for a while. I had a little volunteer paramedic time a long while ago, and I understand what you mean. BUT, the diorama depicts the moment when the SF clear the objective and the casualties must have happened only minutes before, with not enough time for the blood to oxidize. That is the reason why I went with blood that color, right before if begins to oxidize and coagulate. As a matter of fact I am thinking of calling this diorama "Clear!" or “Target clear!". Maybe our friends that were actually in the SF have a suggestion. But thank you again.

I just looked at the pictures again and the blood looks brighter and redder under natural bright sunlight and the quality of my Samsung camera/phone. The actual model under indoor conditions looks darker and more realistic.

Is that figure with the Boonie hat Verlinden's SEAL? Wow, that figure looks pretty good alongside the Legends SOF figures.

Ok guys, I think I am all done! I added a little more details to the groundwork, did go Gino's way with darker blood, and added the sign to give a sense of place. And I am definitely calling it “Clear!”. What do you think?

Your diorama is rather bloody and explicit, but that's exactly what makes it so realistic. I suppose things like that happened there much to often...

The layout of your diorama is well balanced, the figures have relationship to each other and the viewer understands the scene at first glace.

My first Iraqi dio. That is the other half of the verlinden Beirut ruins set.

This turned out very very well. Great job on everything and the scene really came together and makes a lot of sense. Bad day for the opfor!

It is explicit but not in an exagerated way. People offended by it should bear in mind that war isn't a picknick or computergame.

Your diorama is very nice. I don't have the skills to make something at this level. I am more of an aircraft builder myself and making dioramas simple doesn't seem that popular in aircraft modelling.

However, if you permit me, what often strikes me is that diorama's of knocked up buildings are so clean.

If you ever have destroyed a building then you know what huge piles of dust, bricks, wood, glas... are lying around after the bulldozer passed by.

Many diorama's of buildings shot to pieces look as if the cleaning lady passes by every other day to clean it all up.

I had bought it a long time ago Barry. And will keep your observation in mind in my next dio, Drabslab. Thanks.
