I would go with spare tire or hatch shelf with some crew gear.

Hi Mario the second option is for me the best solution even if the tire in the third solution is optimal. However, you're doing a good job.

Thanks Luigi. Your photos show M1114, which had tie downs all over the rear hatch for securing the stowage. M1025 did not have anything like that, so the tire would be fastened using ratchet strap driven around the rear hatch... something like this:

I have photos of an M1025 with tie-downs I believe. If you are going to use the rear storage rack, I would go with the spare tire on the rear hatch.
Disregard.....straight M1025's did not have tie-downs. You will have to add a rear bumper to reflect an A1/R1/A2 model if you want tie downs on the rear hatch.

Thanks Brent. I also think I did saw a photo of M1025 with tie downs but can't find the photo anymore. Not a big deal as I like the ratchet strap setup...
Anyway, it seems the majority of votes here and on my local forums say the spare tire is the way to go. That somewhat changes my plans but I think you all managed to persuade me to try with the tire.
Cheers,
Mario

Not much progress but still... gloss coat and decals, several different wash effects.

Wow! Your updates are always worth the wait Maria. I love the gunner's turret. Are you going to mount a secondary M249 SAW or M240B?

Matt coat and weathering... I thought the vehicle would be much more dirty, but then chickened out. It is the second vehicle I have done after a 20-year figure painting period and there is still a lot to learn. And push the boundaries.
There is still some stowage to add, weapons, figures...

Great work on the turret. Remember me a resin set from Blast Models.

Thanks guys. The turret ring is from Blast, but I replaced the M2 and M249 with Live Resin goodies.

Your humvee just looks amazing.
How did you make your mount for the M249? Where are the M249 parts from?

Outstanding work my friend I know it's not the right version but would love to have the doors left of with that much interior work being done
Those weapons are amazing!!!
Great figure work as usual
Where did the ratchet come from?

I know exactly what you mean about the doors. Although it I would be using some artistic licence, I'm now wondering if I should have taken the other type doors from another Blast set for this project... These would enable a much better view of the interior.
The ratchet is from Black Dog's PE set. Tiny but really cool.

The inside of the doors look just like standard M1025 basic armor doors.

Sorry I should have been more clear. I was thinking of the doors included in Blast Model Humvee Accessory set. If I used those, more of the interior would be visible.

Great work, Mario! The HMMWV looks awesome with all the accessories and extra details. I look forward to seeing the figures in place.
