Well, here is step 2 of my OIF diorama that I am working on. I posted soem pictures of the figures for this diorama in the Figures Forum. The last 2 pictures shows the interior of the TOW Hummer and the TOW itself correctly wired. There is also a MR Models SINCGAR mounted inside it too.
Step 3 will intell adding all the gear and figures, and step four will be adding them and the other figures to a diorama base.
OH OH!!! Here come the Rivit counter police with there rulers, pictures of musem vehicles, books & TM's, and paint chips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, along with myself, and I hope other former or current military guys can vouch, not all the units vehicles look the same. Just because you see it in a picture, doesnt mean all of them are the exact same.
OH, and please, lets not get started on the ODS THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am posting these to share and possible help a new comer with some how too questions.
As always, I ask for your alls oppinion and crituqes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm working on all the stowage know. I also have M1A1 Abrams on the table too, so I have to paint equipment for that one too. The painting of the equipment isnt what takes the longest, its cutting and folding the MRE boxes and the water bottle boxes.
Since I mainly build modern equipment, I stock up on Tamiya NATO Green, Black, and Brown. I also stock up on Model Master Acryls US Army/Marines Sand and Polly Scale Modern Desert Sand. I have at least 2 or 3 bottles of each color on my desk. In the past year, I think I've bought enough of these colors to paint a real vehicle.

Actually "FIVE" vehicles. I still have a M1A1 to build. The figures I am going to use are posted in the Figure Forum under Dragon Modern Marines. Its going to be based in Iraq. I might have to end up re decaling all 4 of them once I get confirmation on bumper numbers. It was so easy when 3rd ID use to be 24th ID(MECH) then I would know what the unit numbers where. I was with 3rd Brigade, but from what HeavyArty said, some of the units deactivated when 3rd took over.
I've been pouring over picture after picture and asking my step brother and cousin, who are both over there, to send me pictures.

Looks good Epi, but the pictures are a bit dark to see the details... What about Bradley interior? I can see you did drivers compartment, how about the turret interior? If I remember correctly you bought Eduard PE interior sets for Bradley...
It is going to be a massive dio... looking forward to it.

Great job so far Epi! Did you scratchbuild the skirt racks on the Bradley or are they a conversion kit. I plan on building a similar kit after I return from Iraq in May.

SGT Sauer,
The left rack is from the Verlinden Bradley Stowage Set(Iraq) and the right rack is scratch built.
You wouldnt happen to have any good pictures of the Bradley there in Iraq. I've checked evry where and the pictures I found dont show the markings that good. Such as bumper numbers, TOW launcher markings, and unit markings on the side armor and rear door/ramp. I tried to get my cousion and step brother to send me some. Both of them are there right know and my National Guard unit almost got sent with this next rotation!!!
Be safe and keep your head down over there and make it back in one piece!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was there the first time. Not a great place ti be UGH!!!!!!!!????????????????

Epi,
You state that the most time consuming part is folding the MRE and water bottle boxes. Where have you found 1/35 water bottle boxes? I can't find them anywhere.
