Very nice! I really like the camo. I'm currently building a what if m113. Your build has convinced me to buy the Eduard interior set.

Thanks!
I still need to paint the details, highlights, washes etc...
Both PE sets exterior and interior are worth it.

It looks really nice. Good job on details and weathering. One issue with it though. It looks like you have it built as an M113A1 from the Vietnam to mid '70s era, but the CIP squares (louvered square panels) on the sides are a post ODS (late '90s - present) feature. They should be removed since they did not exist when your vehicle served.

Thanks Gino.
You're right regarding the CIP squares.

Actually, i'm using the M113 kit from Vietnam to build an imaginary Dio, not really from the 70s or 90s, the scene will have a MEA house (already finished) that will represent a Bordello occupied by a militia lead by a woman (go figure!), M113 will be used by the attacking forces. a crazy thing not related to any specific battle/conflict.
The idea of the Dio is to represent a little bit of the chaotic situations in some banana republics in the Middle East. when you say middle east, you can imagine all the modifications they do on the armor and Technicals.

all kits are here now, stowage, girls, army (mostly American figures), terrorists etc... just need the time to finish it all.

I love it!
For some reason it gives me a feel like Shepard Paines work - maybe it's the weathering style or something, I dunno, just feels that way. That's a compliment by the way.

Everything screams 1970 - old tanker helmets, old flack jackets, m113a1 w old exhaust and right rear fender w old style drain trough. The CIP panel bothers me - wouldn't be used by a banana republic either bc it's for sophisticated friend or foe systems.

I like the feel of the whole concept an the way the paints an pigments an how they were used. I couldn't find any up close pictures of the figures just give it that used feeling inside the M113.

Thanks Bruce.
CIP is a mistake I guess, I've heard it from many now, I shouldn't have placed them, even though they give more "teeth" to my widow maker. will figure out a way to hide them since I can't remove them at this stage of painting/weathering, or I'll just live with it hehe
BTW, some of those old helmets and FJ's still in service around here...

Don't know why I was thinking about your kit today - but I thought it'd be cool and interesting bit to just cover the CIPs with a rebel flag on one side and a pirate flag/jolly rodger on the other - boom. problem solved and you get to add a color point of focus too!

Hey Bruce, thanks for the advice, hiding the CIP panels is a nice idea.
Currently I'm working on the diorama, I'll post some photos soon.
