A semi tanker truck as an airport crash foam truck. I love it!

Well once again we have a new GERMAN fire truck on the model scene in 1/35th scale. While I always applaud any new quality offering in this scale, I cannot help but wonder why no manufacture seems to find an interest in the many styles of fire trucks built by the US Quartermaster for worldwide distribution durning the war????
Oh well, I can only keep the faith that "our day will come!"

p.s. Be sure to also check out the other new ICM offerings.

Normally I would be suggesting that HobbyBoss would be in the perfect position to offer a US Fire Truck given their recent offering of the 750 gal. GMC enclosed cab fuel tanker. However given HB's fiasco with reproducing something as basic as the correct proportions of the standard GMC/Chevy enclosed cab for this model, to my mind, they have left themselves out of the running.

This is my father standing on the running board, (the one with hands on his hips) of an IHC fire truck. I'd like to build this one day if I can find some information on the fire truck body. In the second pic, it sure looks like a fuel oil tank behind the cab.
I should note that this picture was taken in the Philippians in 1945.

Just reiterating the "need" for some CCKW based fire trucks and/or early military fire trucks base on the Chevy 1 1/2 ton 2-axle truck to be offered in plastic!

I offer a set that has one of the patterns of hose reel and fittings needed to make them.

I'm trying to get to the front mounted pump, but work is kicking my butt.
