Remember to paint the glass in the commander's cupola.

Well, they are all metal, so they wouldn't have any "black" where the road wheels roll on. I would try to knock down the rust color some with a Nato black so they look muddy/grimy and not rusty brown.

Or a wash of black until some of the red brown disappears.

Jesse:yes, I haven't gotten there yet... Surprisingly.. Plus I kind of forgot about that.

Jeff:the "black" is actually gunmetal/black metallic. And I'll try that wash now. I have about 45 minutes until a club meeting so I'll get right on that.

Well I painted the "glass" in the cupola Night Black, basics flat black. I'll go over it with Future after I matte coat it to give it the glass look.

I also went over the tracks with black wash. Here's how they came out.

You might not be able to see anything other than black. There is a dark rust color in the center of most of the tracks shoes in the little squares. Around the edges are heavy areas of black. Some tracks links I have to go over again as they didn't receive enough or any wash.

Well, long time no see... New update albeit a small, rather insignificant one. I added on a few more boxes. Although they are rather bland and don't fit in well with the overall build which is to be depicted as lightly dusty and used while the two boxes look rather new. I took one off while keeping the .50 ammo boxes on. If anyone knows where I can obtain some of decals of the markings for the wood .50 cal containers I'd like to get some. I also added a Life magazine to the back along with a few C-ration boxes tied (yes, actually tied. There actually is a small knot on it) together. I also did a tad bit more weathering with some pigments. I got in a new set of Ammo of Mig European Earth paint set.

Well enough of my blabbing... On to some pictures.

Now if you're wondering what that small box is next to the driver's hatch... It's this:

A Lucky Strike cigarette box. For better sizing:

I thank Federico Collada from FCModelTips for the Life magazine covers, the cigarette boxes and the C-rations. Great stuff, his. But über tiny. Took me over an hour collectively to fold just that one cigarette box. It's nerve wracking.

Well... I've more or less finished this kit (it's about time... Took me long enough). I still have to reapply some pigments that were taken off by flat coating but it's more or less finished.

Painted with Tamiya OD. Glossed with Future and flat coated with Italeri, some AC Moore artists Varnish and then Testors flat cote. Weathered with MiG, AK, and Secret Weapon pigments and AK and Mig washes. Ammo Boxes are from Verlinden and the tarps and gear is from Tamiya. The magazine, cigarette box, and chocolate bar is from FCModel Tips.

And yes, I already loosened the tension in the track. All wheels sit on the ground now. I actually put lead shot in the bottom of the hull to weight it down so that all wheels site level no matter what. This is also the first kit that I completely airbrushed. No rattle cans and minimum brush painting except to do touch ups. One thing I forgot... Headlight lenses!!

If you've got a couple last touch-ups to do, let me suggest that the right side tail light wasn't red, but black instead.

Congrats on trusting the airbrush. It's a big step.

Ok. Thanks Jesse. I'll get right on that. And yeah, with the airbrush, it's the most I've ever done with it. I also painted two more with it. A Piper L-4 and a M101 howitzer. Plus did a bit of weathering on a WC-51.

Overall a nice build, the markings are great. One thing needs attention IMHO, the front and rear road wheels are being pulled up by the track tension and really need to be cemented in their correct position (level with the ground)....if you are planning on putting the tank on a base then obviously do that before you fix the suspension in place.

I already loosened the tension so now the wheels sit level. I do plan on doing a dio at some point with this.
