I think the sand bags once painted and weathered will have a completely different look.

I used MDF wood. Had it done at a framing store to my specifications. It is the first time I use MDF and it is working great.

Pics with very poor lighting, so colors are kind of drab.

Really looking great Marcos.
But I have to agree with Romain that the sand bags are not right. They look too big and oval.More like boulders.I would make them not so thick and pinch the ends so that they are more like bags.Just an opinion.

First rate work, sir. The layout is excellent with the angled facade and the different levels. The model looks great as well - Unfortunately, I must agree with the comments about the sand bags.
Due to their size they look more like laundry bags.I feel sorry for the poor bugger who had to haul them up them steps.
Looking forward to seeing this progress.

I tried pulling off a couple of the larger sand bags but that putty just bonds for life! So I gave up trying to redo them, and as a partial solution I will try to cover them and hide them as much as possible (cammo netting, and junk!). We'll see how that works. :-(

Hola Marcos!
Camo netting and different items (uniform jacket, o.s.) sounds great! There is a nice modern camo netting around (from Eduard if I'm not mistaken, and another one from AFV Club, and yet another from kamizukuri).
Apart from the sandbags the little dio is coming around nicely!! Well done Sir!!!
Albricias!!!
Cheers

Great build, definitely following!
What is the name of the putty you use for the sand bags? That is a new technique for me and sandbags (scratch building them).
Thanks! Cheers

It is a comercial putty made by the people who make crazy glue. comes in two separate components and you mix them together to use.

Looking good. One thing that needs to go is the Playboy though. Porn is strictly forbidden by General Order #1 in Afghanistan and Iraq as to not offend the Muslims. Not to say there weren't any, but it would not be left in the open in an area where it could be easily seen.

Hi friends, 100% agreed with Gino: playboy fits better into Vietnam dio, not here.
Then, Marcos, you are doing a great job. I'm following !

I think that takes care of the Playboy. A map.
