I am about to start a little diorama with my finished M1151. I will include figures from these sets:
My first rough sketch( sorry I am no architect!):
A very basic mockup:

You can't can't use the figure of me in Iraq along with the one of me in Afghanistan. Worlds will collide! At last that's what Spock implied in Star Trek, but things worked out okay. Should be interesting.

Do not worry! I WAS PLANNING ON USING ONLY ONE OF YOU. ACTUALLY, the one of you in Iraq is a more handsome figure (more detail anyway). What do you think?

Hi Marcos,
Great dio idea again and very good figure choices. Two Robs will bring it another dimension

Airborne figure is very good but so many pieces to assembly. I wish at least M4 would be less pieces... and it can look a little oversized when used together with Masterbox figures.
Please keep us posted for progress.

Like I said, I will only use one sgt. Rob figure to avoid any distutbances to the space/time continuum!

The dio revolves around the M1151 hummvee pictured above.
About the stairs, simple really: strips of cork, the one on top of the previous one a bit shorter, and so on.
Cheers!

Hi Marcos - nice work on the building! the use of thick cork and real stone insets is pretty cool - looking forward to how you finish it up
As to the lookout tower - - are you planning a separate, free standing structure? or something on the roof of the building? - it might look pretty cool with something free standing - the separate tower and building could result in a courtyard area where the HMMWV is parked. Or, if you're placing the tower on the roof, the ground plane would be opened up for more stuff - figures, supplies etc -
If you have the room, that is enough room to not look cramped or forced, or its not too late to make a slightly bigger base, I might go for the two buildings - with the truck between them - It might give you more opportunities for interesting ground level photos - you know, maybe a guy between the wall and the tower, a figure or two on the roof of the building, and the firepower in the tower - maybe some guys coming or going from the ground floor of the house to the truck or the tower? -
How ever you decide, its a good idea!!
looking forward to seeing what you do
cheers

The idea is to go with the tower on top of the building.

I do have some space limitations with the size of the base, because of shelf space.

To the right of the building I am planning to put a couple of hesco barriers. As for figures, the kneeling prisoner from MB with a guard or two. The soldier taking the prisoner from airborne. And a guard or two in the watch tower.

I am a bit undecided as to the color of the sand bags. I have seen pictures of them in a beige color and a dark green. Thinking of going with the green to add more contrast to the dio.

Hola Marcos,
you are right if you want to use the sandbags to bring a different colour into the dio!
I'm only afraid your sandbags are too big! And moreover they are lacking details like seam lines f.ex.

Keep up the good work!
Cheers

Hi Marcos - this is looking good! I still like your idea of placing the real rocks in the wall - it looks really nice. Is it too late to do any shaping on the sandbags? They look a bit smooth - and round-ish. Sorry, I don't have the exact words - your example photos tho, look less "round "? .
Again - looking really good!
Cheers
