Noticed in the frontal shot of the Panda and Meng kits that the Panda wheels are canted in at the top...is it supposed to be that way???

Today, just receive the new Real Model's set of wheels for the Cougar 6X6. Finely moulded they look nice, but some modification from the kit are needed :

Here what is needed for a good fit :

Where the resin wheels designed for the Panda kit? Is that what is causing the fit issues?

No Panda and Meng models are totally different on this point.

For information a 6X6 resin wheels set from Def is on the way

Just shorten the plug that goes into the wheel. Whole normal arrangements. Hole in the round is done deep. Pascal modification is also, but need not. The original model of the wheel is mounted exactly the same. Resin wheel, moreover stick.

Pascal, what brand do you use for weathering your kits? Is it Ak interactive or Mig jimenez?

Pascal, how did you handle the painting/masking of the door windows? I'm at that stage now and I see there's actually two panes of glass (explains the clear and green sprues!) for each door. Seems like it needs a bit of thought...

Cheers,
Jim

First, all plastic parts are painted with the ground colour, then glass are glued in place with Micro Kristal Clear and when dry I put and cut masking tape on the exterior from the glasses.
Easy!
I think that the inside windows can be omitted when doors are closed!

That's what I was thinking; but I'm going to have one side door and the back doors open, plus the Canadian interior colour is mostly black, so I've got some creative painting and masking coming up!

Cheers,
Jim
