Some updates.....frontal R side basket. This is how I decided to hide what's underneath the mesh. I put one resin box from the Legend conversion.....I'll do the same on the L side after making a couple of copies. Well....now I have to decide what's better.....one box more.....one box more with a tactical marking plate over.....just a plate over.

Hi Guido

I don't think I have enough words to describe my admiration for your build. The level of detail, the painting and weathering - everything is in a class of its own. I salute you Sir! Fantastic!

I hope you are entering this model into a number of competitions - if you do I'm sure you will win many prizes.

Regards,
Kobus

This isn't a 1/35th scale model: this is the real thing shrinked to that scale. I'm happy will be seeing it next month in Mosonmagyaróvár. A true masterpiece...

Thank you Paul. Red are all those points needing immediate location by the crew. Or those that require care.....as parts to be constantly lubricated. Don't think to be wrong telling you many crews in IDF love to use red randomly......that means for example, you can see two Dohers side by side with different red painted parts.

Interesting, didn't know that. That's certainly isn't the case with current IDF tanks. Almost everything is painted in the main color.

Guido, a question: are you sure about the red fire extinguisher? As far as I remember, on the field everything is painted over with that (in)famous IDF color...or at least that's what we used to...(worth mentioning, I'm a tank guy, not an artillery clown, so I might as well be wrong... ).

Yeah, but l was referring to tanks, not to artillery pieces and APCs. One might think that the same logic applies on tanks - but it doesn't. At least l can't recall any current(ish) Merkavas (or Magachs for that matter) with those details painted in red, but then again, l might be wrong... As far as l remember, the only detail painted red on a Merkava is the engine fire extinguisher release puller located front left.
I should really ask somebody why those details painted red on artillery pieces and APCs, but not on tanks...

Israel...you r right. APCs or SPGs got much more red parts than tanks. Don't know the reason but this is a fact. Thank you

Because they're operated by infantry and artillery crewmen - tankers don't need any indication what parts need attention - they know their stuff!
